I never use too , but now I seem to place my glasses in the case soon after I take them off. before I would just toss them on the desk, after not wearing them for hours they would get dusty or Id spill something.. Hopefully prolong the life of them..
I don't wear glasses. I used to have colored contacts back in my raving days, but those were just for looks. I have a pair of sunglasses that have a case though. And I never use the case. It's actually storing my old sunglasses; I guess in case I break the new ones.
No. The only time my glasses go in the case is if I am carrying them in my purse. When I am home, my glasses live on a bookshelf in my bedroom.
I keep my spare set in a case but otherwise unless I’m traveling (and wearing contact lenses) my primary set will not see the inside of a case. Hotwater
my problem I dont carry them in a case when Im outside. I take them off and put them in my pocket with my keys and shit.. now I do have a spare pair of glasses I use when going places that I might need to take my glasses off and put them in my pocket. but I have taken my new glasses and done that a couple times tooo.
I have a pair of prescription readers with a very slight slight slight correction in the top of one lens that I always use when traveling about. The prescription is about 25 years old. They're a type of Granny or Lennon wire frames that I got so that they'd fit into an old metal case my wife used to use when she was a teenager. I like the metal case cause I can sit on it and throw it around without hurting the glasses. I striped off the old vinyl cloth and soldered on a brass and copper dragon. Then I have dollar store readers all over the place that I just fold up and set down here and there.
I have a pair of computer/readers at home. I keep them in a hard case next to the computer. Also next to to the computer I keep a pair of transitions lenses (in a hard case) that I wear outside. They turn dark if it is bright. Unfortunately transition lenses do not work in the car so I have a pair of sunglasses that fit in a compartment in the car above the rearview mirror. Normally at home I don't wear glasses unless I am at the computer.
I was about 2 when I got my first pair of glasses. I have to wear glasses every single day, pretty much 100% of the time, except when I'm showering or sleeping. They are never in a case. When I take a shower, they stay on the sink counter in the bathroom and when I sleep, they're on my desk, next to my phone. They MUST be in the same place every day, not only for convenience, but also because it's a pain in the ass to misplace your glasses. When you have shitty vision and you lose your glasses, the first instinct you have to is put on your glasses so you can see better to find what you lost. It's a vicious cycle. The only time they ever go into a case are when I go to a theme park and want to ride a roller coaster. Then they go into a heavy duty case in my pocket so they don't get broken or fly off and I can enjoy myself. I somehow have amassed a small collection of cases over the years. They're useful to hold other things, although one case is always designated as the "backup glasses" case, which holds the previous set of specs I wore should anything happen to my current pair. It's not ideal since the prescription is usually different, but it's better than nothing until I can get a replacement. With that being said, however, in 28 years of everyday glasses use, I've only had to replace a broken pair 3 times.
The pair in my black leather vest, inside pocket, are always kept in a leather sleeve/case/thingy. I use this pair when I'm out trying to read this godaweful tiny print they put on packaging these days. Seriously, try to read the back of a can of paint without 14 magnifying glasses and a very bright light. All the others are just scattered around the house... Usually not where I need them at the moment. I don't need distance correction.
20/20 vision here. not for long at this rate though, because i do have a serious problem with leaving my sunglasses in stupid places and then not having them when i need them.
I wear my glasses all the time. Well, except for when in the shower and in bed. I have a certain, special place I put them when I go to bed. In the bathroom, I tend not to put them in the same place and periodically have panic attacks when I blindly try to search for them. They are usually in the most stupid/easiest to hide and blend place. Years ago I wore contacts and I didn't take very good care of the glasses I would have OR I would lose and/or break them. Mama tends to think she doesn't need to wear her's half the time (SHE DOES!)...and what she does is just take them off and lay them nearby. Can I get a big ole eyeroll here? smh The newest pair she has/had is now broken because in her need to take off her glasses, she sat on them. One leg bent way down - at a 90 degree angle from where they should be. I bent it back up and it was fine, until she got to fiddling with it. Now that $276 frame gets to be replaced. Currently she is wearing an old pair until she breaks it. lol We'll go up to the eye place this coming week, and I'm sure they'll have to order another frame. Its late, and that completely covers my answer.
nope. i have one place where i set them down so i can always find them. i never leave the house without wearing them i can't read signs far away without them but when i'm at home, i can get close enough to whatever i want to look at to not need them. so i don't have a glasses case. i never carry them except by wearing them.
the case my glasses came in 3 years ago is still around here somewhere....I have never used it.... and I regret not using it... I am in the process of ordering a new pair of glasses and will try and take better care of these ones
Nah, If I'm not wearing them I'm either asleep or showering. Glasses cases are always too bulky to keep in your pocket so I never carried them around with me, now I'm not sure I even own any.
I don't have a case for my glasses. I should get one, though, because about a week ago my glasses fell off my nightstand, and when I got out of bed I ended up stepping on them and bending them pretty bad.
