Ive been playing my old 1979 Gibson "Hummingbird" on and off for 20 years- -before that I had a nice old Yamaha that I ended up pawning ( needed the cash to feed that jones} ..damn shame.... My fingers dont move as fast as they used to-- but every once in awhile I can get them going
Hmm thats a good idea.... I've already pissed him off though, with my boogie woogie version of Amazing Grace it was an "abomonation" according to him....
Uncle is still learning... Yea i love a guy that can play guitar and i looove the piano. Two instruments i would love to learn to play but never have.
It's never too late...! Get your guy to teach you... Hey here's an idea, you could offer special sexual favors for each lesson he gives you.. ZW
Haha, good one. Well i don't really know anyone that can play the piano but i just think its soo beautiful and im sooo small playing guitar would be hard to do but i still want to try. And at this moment i don't have a guy i broke up with him.. and that one promised me he would help me but he never taught me the two years we were togehter. I wish i could get by with that right now i sure can use some sexual favors.
Aww shit, I'm sorry girl. Guitarists can be a flaky lot...Here's a joke to cheer you up. What do you call a guitarist without a girlfriend? Homeless. ZW
I began toying with the blues harp since back in the mid-sixties. Started by listening to John Mayall, Al Wilson (Canned Heat), Jack Bruce (Cream), and then got into listening to old vinyls of Sonny Boy Wiliamson and others at the college audio-visual department. Now, I would call myself quite proficient. Never had any complaints onstage either. If you have any questions or need advice just PM me. Online, there are some fairly good sites, which I could refer you to, and youtube has some lesson series that are good, especially Adam Gussow, Jason Ricci, and some others. Gussow played street harp with "Mr.Satan" in Harlem for a while, calling themselves "Satan and Adam". He's an engineer and teacher by profession, and can lay down the lessons well. I tend to play a different brand of harp, but like his tone and kit bag. Ricci is just plain hot. And for comedic relief, here's Darth Vader on harp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eZBevXohCI Here's Annie Raines, with a solid groove. I really dig her guitarist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjQJetx593o Here's someone good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z163dzvLDzY And for the unusual package,,we have "Son of Dave",,using loop tech to get a great groove: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BeTZihJTus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_c5DqWVRXA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DK2cNzwkbhs And finally, one of the great blues players: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dq6cSepmXXE But seriously, Mr.Kite, here's one of your personal favs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17-T4safxfU
I've got a banjo, a fiddle, a cheap electric guitar and a left handed acoustic/electric. I practiced on the banjo for 3 months, got discouraged by a single comment by my teacher and gave up. They just stare at me when I'm wasting time on the computer. I did plug the electric in the other day and practiced a few cords D A G. - Dale
I play bass, guitar, drums, piano, keyboards, I have dabbled in the Saxaphone and violin and I play a whole host of percussion instruments. I love music and I love exploring different instruments.
I play bass (lovelovelovelove it) and sing Also play djembe and to some extent cajon Those are the instruments I have had the confidence to actually play infront of people. I can make my way around an acoustic or electric guitar Mbira, keys, hand percussion I can completely blag; they're fun. I would love to be able to play double bass, I might take it up. I'd also probably like to learn the cello. I can play twinkle twinkle little star heheh...
i play clarinet, bass clarinet, bass guitar, double bass (only a 3/4 size because im too small!) and stylophone....the most lame instrument ever! but still great fun =]
