i admire all that he does, but i think that he would rather befried someone like me rather than groveling fan, im not sayong that im not a fan btw. [im jus not in love with him]

i think that you will find that most of the views that people like about him, are views that you will find of almost any rock star, an not very origional atal.

his lyrics are great, and i feel like i can relate to him so mutch, not jus cause of the emotions an stuf in the music, but the life he leads and used to lead, and the intrests he has.

i used to be a regular on this anti manson site, it was basicaly a bunch of manson fans arguing over nothign so i left an came here. plus it was goin down hill.

Earlier albums [e.g. Potrait OAAF, Smells LC, Anti-Christ SS, etc] was much better.
Theres always some truth in what he has to say...

i respect him for being an individual and continuing with his music despite accusations that he's driven teens to murder and suicide. i don't listen to the genre of music he's classified as, but i think he's smart.

I'm a bit of a hypocrite, I was obsessed with Home and Away.

 

I've never paid much attention to him and it's a long time since I heard any of his songs, I'll have to download some songs of him and reform an opinion.

I do think it funny however how people seem to think his music is the most extreme ever, or his lyrics the most shocking ever... shows just how little attention they pay to anything that's not on mtv on a daily basis.

 

i am going to see manson next month, i am looking forward to breaking out all my old school goth stuff... so much fun!!

I liked Marilyn Manson back when he was Glen Benton! Yes, I know, you're too young/too naive to know what I'm talking about. I actually liked Manson back when he was an unknown, know-nothing college music journalist, atleast then I didn't have to deal with his t-shirts everywhere. The man can't sing at any pitch at all, his lyrics are incredibly trite and lack any form of depth or creativity whatsoever and what's more, his band can't even keep time, even in common time! I mean, c'mon! He's floating by (incredibly enough 10 years later) on his "anti-Christ" visage and his stage persona.

I'm not trying to insult anyone here, honestly, I respe--well, tolerate your love for the man, but from a technical musical stand point the man and his band (his new band included) have no legs to stand on, and if it weren't for teen angst, he'd still be Brian Warner. Sorry to speak what I find to be the truth guys, but that's just the way it is (the way I see it). You'll get over him, and you'll move on to something more interesting, maybe even hopefully some progressive or neoclassical rock? Maybe something...talent based? lol

By the way, I love you! Don't take my post too hard. So he's not a great musician, big deal!
