Of course, no one will admit to being a selfish, nasty slob who does not give a shit about others or the earth

I notice people throwing stuff out of thier car windows all the time..

I wonder what the thought process is?

Do they throw it out of the window knowing that someone will come along and pick up their trash or do they just not care?

I honestly never litter and I think people who do are scumbags. It pisses me off when I see people throwing shit out their windows.

I think some (maybe most) people are just decadent scumbags and don't care about anything outside of their own little world (meaning whatever affects only them). It's a sign of the times.

lol sorry read this thread and the creater of the thread wrong. duh.

But, No, I don't litter. I often take a bag with my son and me when we walk to the playground to pick up other people's trash because I like to teach Cason things such as that.

Dunno what they are thinking..most likely just being lazy?

Even when I smoked didn't litter cig butts..

that is a great thing to teach your son:sunny:

    your a good mom

most parents are bad examples and teach their kids to litter, either by doing it or encouraging them to do it..

PR, like you said, it is a sign of the times, no natural affection for the earth and others

It could be a sign of the times. I think it's just a sign of laziness though. (and possibly a sign of people's parents not showing them the right things)...

Oh and thanks. :) Idk, I don't litter when my son's not with me but even if I did I wouldn't do it around him because the way I see it is, kids may seem like they rarely listen to the things you say, but they are always watching the things you do.

I do not litter and I call the litter busters hotline anytime I see someone throw trash out their car window. They can't really ticket them on hearsay but they do send them a warning in the mail. I like trashy litter bugs to know people are watching out for them.

I also pick up random trash when I take walks. Its so disgusting how many people litter

Geo cachers are a very Earth conscious group of people. Many of them are hikers and wilderness explorers. They pick up trash at geo caching events, actually. We hide the caches out of sight, they are very small, usually micro. If someone who is not participating in the game trashes a geo cache, that's on them, they're the litter bug.

Why are you trying to make someone feel bad for doing something they really enjoy and have a lot of fun with? I am not doing any harm to the Earth by geo caching.

Rainy, I am not picking, I have been Geocaching for over 11 years now and have logged and hid many caches, but i do see how Geocaching in some instances can be seen as littering..especially power caching trails and poor cache maintenance

really grinds my gears when motherfuckers pollute in front my property and on my property.. then act like they are not the ones doing it. yet I have them on video tape doing so. and they swear its not them. your the only car parking here and the only one with the windshield washer fluid bottles all over my lot. my lot isnt an open air garbage can. I pay taxes to keep my lots, you dont..

a few years ago, i was captain the volunteer clean crew. however some are not volunteer they are community service. But we did such an excellent job ridding the neighborhood of debris, there was no need for it the 2nd time around. This year I can already tell its going to be a heavy clean up.

along the roadways, you can never pick up enough. Its rather disgusting that humans just toss their trash about.

some the local business cooperated when others did not. funny story when I was going about getting business to participate, and it become LAW to clean up around your business .. one business threatened me, called me names(treehugging crackhead) and just ignored the request to clean up around the place. we come back with police officers. who is the treehugging crackhead now??.. that business has been clean ever since. while others have slacked a little. its not easy when some help, and others just pollute more.

NO. I saw a lady throw a bunch of fast food trash out her car window with dozens of cars/people around. I tried to get back to tell her to pick her shit up, but missed her. I think it's despicable to throw crap onto the roadsides and not give a damn. What if EVERYONE threw their litter anywhere? This is not Tijuana.
