lol I was thinking of doing one hand, one clap push ups as part of my workout to hear what that sounds like. As for the thread title. I seem to do little of each, thank gawd.
Not bells. I hear ringing but not bells, just a ping.. And then different frequency of ping and cicadas and Morse code and omg I hate this tinnitus!

all i get is a steady tone. usually an f#/gb or a, somewhere in the neighborhood of those frequencies. doesn't happen often and i actually kind of like it. life IS to short to waste it listening to the same cleche lies being constantly repeated. if someone is saying something new to me, or in a creative and imaginative way i haven't heard before, that gets my attention. and i don't usually want to make anyone feel bad, unless they're getting on my nerves, or seem to be intentionally harassing me. no one needs that, and i damd sure don't. as for waiting to say something, sure, sometimes, when i feel like participating. i want to say things that will give people ideas, jump start their own imaginations. i'm frequently not good at judging this.
I personally would rather listen than speak. The only bad part is what you hear. Animal chatter is nice also.

I do both. But often when I am talkative I end up wishing I'd said less. So over time I have become more of a listener. I dislike when there is pressure to talk. Sometimes I love just being quiet but around people. I'm envious of dogs and babies at those points. They can just hang out and no one expects them to talk.
there are lots of things i'd rather not listen to. i come here to some place like this, where i can blab and people can hear or ignore me as ever they see fit. i do though, listen to the universe, beyond where there are human voices to prevent me from doing so. i listen to rocks and trees and feral cats. i just prefer not to listen to people who hate logic and consideration whining about it, when the world their ignorance and indifference creates, turns around and bites them on the ass. and they're always the furst to blame demongods or librules or technology or nature or just about anything they can dream up to imagine, instead of their own voluntary indiference.
