    Hello,

over the last months I read mostly 'hard' technical books, now it's time for a change ;). I think I switch back to travel books. The problem is, that most travel books I'm looking for are out of print. Sometimes one or another book pops up, but for an insanely high umount of money.

    Regards
    Gyro

I've found great out-of-print books, especially of the travel sort, in public libraries and library book sales. :)

    Hello,

I've created searches at this on-line auction platform and at antiquarian bookshops. One book I'm looking for is out of print for, I don't know, 100 years or so ;). The others are not so rare and every now and then one pops up for a good price and then it's mine ;).

    Regards
    Gyro

    Hello,

'Handbuch fuer Harzreisende' it roughly translates to Guide for Travelers of the Harz Mountains.

Sounds interesting. I don't think I would likely find someone here in u.s. that would have a copy to sell to you. I hope you find it for a good price.

    Hello,

it's on my list for a few years now, but I can wait ;). For about 60 bucks one can buy a CD-Rom, that contains or contains not the text of the book in digital form and the CD-Rom is authorised or is not by the successor in interest of the original publishing house. All very vague... And a CD-Rom is not a book.

    Regards
    Gyro

Yeah, the cd rom sounds kinda suspicious. Probably illegal copies.

I'd rather have the book instead of cd rom too.
