Do you like your books?

I have one, and I have all those apps and stuff, but still don't read books on it.
I prefer real books, I don't see that changing anytime soon.

 

I keep special ones. Books that I really love or that were given to me. I'm actually a member of a book swap website so I can read books and swap them for different ones. It's a win/win. I don't have to pay for the books and I don't have them taking up space when I'm done with them.

 

I have a kindle, and I have many books. Not everything is available on the kindle, so I still buy a book now and then.
I've got books I've had for 30 years or more, and will never re-read, but I find it hard to chuck them out.

I'm not obsessed with boobs, as I have my very own ._.
But it was fitting as a random thought

 

Gyro started three threads for boobs, books and boots. I am not sure which one (or all three) are supposed to be satire. I read this one first this morning and when I made my comment I thought he was sincere. Now I am thinking all three threads are for joking. Color me stupid.

 

These are the top 2 shelves of the book shelf beside my bed.
There are 5 shelves in all. I have 2 more full bookshelves and at least 3 large plastic tubs full of books.
Yes I love my books and no I don't sleep a lot.

 

I hope it's not a satire thread. I'm risking my life posting a picture of one of my bookshelves. My wife is embarrassed by how messy my shelves get and she would literally kill me for posting the pic.

My book shelves look the same way. The shelves that have doors to cover them look even worse.

 

Books are my final line of defense against insanity.

 

Mine look ok about 1% of the time, but I'm constantly pulling books out for reference or to re-read and putting them back haphazardly(I have a couple right beside my bed to put back tonight). I also stick junk on them.

The only shelves that can be seen by people. The rest of my books are put away in cupboards.

 

My daddy has that Johnny Cash book.
