Except for a few lottery tickets, I had never gambled in my life, until a year and a half ago when my girlfriend took me to Las Vegas for the first time for a long weekend. I've never learned any card games.

First nite, I blew some money on the slot machines. It wasn't fun, just kinda mindless. But the next nite I did have fun at one of those electronic roulette tables. It was fun people-watching and I liked how many different ways you could make a roulette bet. I won about $80. Will I do it again? I don't know.

I think the hobby attracts risk prone competitive people.

I don't really get into gambling at all. I like playing poker with friends but its not like its high stakes and I mainly do it for the camaraderie.

I went to Vegas a few years ago. I didn't really give a damn about Vegas, I just wanted to tag along with a friend so I could drive out to the Grand Canyon. I stuck to penny slots and even then found it depressing how quickly money could disappear. My last night there I turned $20 into $100 so that was kind of cool, but I still don't really get the appeal.

if gamboling was about winning there would not be casinos. gamboling is like giving to a charity that isn't going to do you a bit of good when you need it. a lot of people seem to think its fun though, and if that's what makes them happy, they're probably not harming anyone else directly.

owning a store is a kind of gamboling, that at least you get to say you owned a store for a while, until you go broke, or you don't.

then there's buying expensive tools, in the hope and belief you're going to enjoy using. i just did that myself, and it should be getting here sometime in the next couple of weeks, so we shall see what we shall see when it does.

Buying Tools Is Not A Gamble, It's An Investment To

    Be Enjoyed In The Future...:).

Someone doesn't have a sense of humor, for the record I don't gamble and never have and if I wanted to waste my money mindlessly, I know better ways to do it.

I like to go to the casino a couple times a year. It helps me afford to fuck hot escorts... considering I actually luck out and win a pretty penny, which I have a few times.

I like winning, so I don't gamble, because the chances of losing stuff is too great for me.
