I love Cypress hill live, they have so much crowd control. Kanye West was really good live, he puts on a good show. Nas was pretty good live. Brain Child was awesome live with eoto. Atmosphere is pretty good live too.

But really as far as the rap I like goes, none of those people would be in my top 5. But something about live rap really brings my energy level up.

My favorite rappers have mostly all been mentioned in this thread already.

 

yeah dude everything with cyne involved is dope as fuck. such good music for them blunt rides.

also, i've seen Nas and Atmosphere live, and Atmosphere was better. Eyedea and Abilities was there too and their energy was fucking GREAT.

well they have definitely gone through changes

i agree not everything is as good as 36 chambers, but i mean...wu tang is epic. what other rap group is so heavily kung-fu influenced. they LITERALLY used to battle each other over who got to record on the track cause their booth couldnt fit everyone in it.

its not fair to discount their other music. it really isn't bad at all. just not the same style...i enjoy and apprecidate all of it, personally.

Indeed. Even the supposedly golden early solo stuff that's is allegedly 'just as good' (liquid swords & supreme clientele to be specific) falls way short of the bar set by enter the 36 chambers imo
