mom used to boil it.
these days folks b-b-q it if they're having vegitarian guests over.
smothered in real butter while still hot, however it's cooked.

i don't know how else BUT fresh?
i'm not surprised with today's everything marketing something else is possible.
if it is, i'm glad not to have yet run into it.

 

well there is a way. my dad had no teeth. as long as you cook in on the cob, you can still slice it off after.

i sort of almost don't have any left myself.
