do you kill bugs in your place, or palm them and release outside?

I tend to capture them then release them outside. No matter how you feel about bugs, they are still living creatures.

Most bugs that choose to come in the house are fair game for the swatter.

I feel no guilt or shame doing it. I did not invite them in so they are trespassing. A gun is overkill though. ;)

Outside, I only kill what bites me. :)

Moths are the only thing that I don't kill. If one makes it past the cat, it gets to live...if I can catch it to release it outside

I can't tell the difference between good and bad spiders, so they get killed right along with any other bug that is unlucky enough to come in this house.

Oh, except for grand-daddy long legs...and I (try to) get them out.

There was a spider crawling on my carpet a few nights ago and I went ape shit on it and beat it mercilessly with a shoe for about 5 minutes.

If it's poisonous then it's gotta go. It's the same with cockroaches but if it's anything like a huntsman spidey or a moth then it'll get popped outside. I have a cat who doesn't know how to mind his own business when it comes to creepy crawlies so I figure it's best if the yucky ones just get squished.

Flies and mosquitoes i feed to my boyfriend's convict fish.
Poisonous spiders i just kill. All of the little harmless jumping spiders and lizards and stuff I just leave alone.

I've never seen a lizard in this house.

There are quite a few outside with broken off tails...cats. :p

Not many bugs come inside the apartment. I catch the spiders on a piece of paper and let them out. Luckily there aren't any poisonous spiders here. Flies, moths or ants are killed as soon as I can do it, because I don't want them to get into fruit or other food.
I kill mosquitoes out of self preservation.

The only bugs that freak me out are earwigs. I kill those no matter where I see them and actually feel relieved when they can't move anymore.

I use toilet paper to catch most bugs. It binds them up until I can get them outdoors. I don't want to break any legs or wings on them by "palming" them.

I grabbed a moth one time and it fluttered its wings in my hand so much it lost alot of wing dust before I could get it outside.

One time I was in a bathroom at work and a moth landed on me. I shook it off until it hit the dirty ass floor. I felt bad for it because I knew it was probably doomed there on the floor.

I put my finger down next to it and it happily climbed on me again. It stood on my finger until I got it back outside.

I put my finger next to a bush.. nope, didn't get off of me. Put my finger next to a wall.. nope not getting off. Finger on the ground.. nope.

I had to shake it off again, lol. At least it was outside now.

If they are non-native bugs I kill them... if they are native I release them to the outside.

Did you know that flies have been evolving in many areas and are now much more difficult to kill with a newspaper roll?

    Natural selection in action. =)
