I have maybe 3 yardsticks from old businesses which are no longer around. Couldn’t tell you where they are though. Haven’t seen them in years.
so there's really no guarantee that you actually have them. for all we know, they were taken by yardstick gnomes years ago.
i have one in my tool box it has wide drawers its a wood one from the 60's ...advertising on it is from a place my father worked at in his teens
Its just like a yard stick, except that it is one meter long. Why would you have one? To measure distances, or to knock things off high shelves or to draw straight lines that are longer that 12 inches or to keep wrapping paper from rolling up while you are cutting it or ....
Use ours a lot. Marks show height and age of kid. As mentioned getting stuff from under fridg or stove. I have a 3/8" thick one (don't know metric equivalent) that I use to intimidate neighbors dog when going to mailbox.
I prefer to do everything half-assed myself, and tell women especially that six inches equals a foot.
