It was actually your promotion site ( http://design.scgrahamfoto.com/ ) I was talking about, but I've had a quick glance at some of your other ones since, and they seem quite tasteful.

In addition to the site I have already mentioned, I am building another site. If anyone wants to write articles for it I would be interested.

Now that is awesome - a fusion of dark style and cleverly edgy substance!

    cheers,

Mine isn't free but the price is so minimal. I use SBC YAHOO! for my host.

My 1st domain name was free. The site is $9.95 a month. No adds. They supply site building tools and counters and site stats. They keep your registration from being available to the public for an additional $ .75 per month. NO ADS.

5 GBs of storage space (I have 23 pages on my site, and am not up to even 1GB yet).

200GBs of data transfer a month.

And most importantly, I have yet to see a problem with their servers crashing, that would make my site unreachable. They also run geocities which is free and only comes with a few ads ofset to the right edge, that you can specify they be ads relating to whatever content you are displaying.

Yeah I have a website right now it's split between isps, you'll notice if you visit. But that's what it took to get the whole thing up. I have a lot of content, and the isp that I traded some design work for lifetime hosting limited my space, so I use them for the main site and the isp that I use for my connection to the internet more or less gives me unlimited space so my flash stuff is there. Anyway here it is, I do graphics and Flash musical ecards.

My husband is a role player and gamer into DAoC right now. He is one of the leaders of his own guild, and they have just started putting together a website. He made the initial purchase for one year w/ domain name inc in the deal. He went w/ 'BlueHost' who was very reasonable in cost, and suplied a good amount of content as far as what they offered for price.

Anyhow - the site is for role players mostly, but his guild has its own workings further down the rabbit hole. So far he's only put up a forums here:

    http://hopesantagonists.com/forum/index.php

If you are into this sort of thing - I'm sure he'd like for you to come by and join the growing community he has there. ATM I beleive he is looking for a 'webmaster' willing to help them decorate and finish setting things up. I do know he wants to give it this look (just w/out the 'Flash', and a touch more dark):

    http://www.flash-template-design.com/preview_co.php?tid=1532&a_aid=137

Please, if you do stop by for any reason - send him a PM letting him know how you heard. He is in the members list as 'Bedlamite'.

I run a forum called Digital Meltd0wn http://digitalmeltd0wn.org It started out as a help forum for computers and the internet, but since then it has grown into a nice little community. There's a few people from this forum who are members there also, so if any of you decide to drop in, you should see a few familiar faces. There's a lot of friendly and helpful people there, and we have a lot of fun on the board. I hope that some of you will stop by and check it out sometime.

Mine, as posted above will probably DIE this year. I'm just tired of busting my azz as Webmaster, and paying $140-250 a year to keep it up for what little activity we Get.
Mike, I thank YOU for visiting as I visit yours. But 1-2 logins a day, isn't enough with all we have.

I know that it can be frustrating sometimes to keep a forum going. It can be a bit of a downer to see people register and then never come back to post, or post for a while and then disappear. Mine has proved a bit challenging since I decided to block the search engines, and rely upon invitations alone. The best I can do is to invite people who seem to share a common interest, and hope that they consider my invitation a genuine compliment to their character, and not just some type of spam. I thank you for visiting my forum as well. Long live all the small forums on the internet!
