I might want to lose 30 lbs., but haven't decided yet how to go about it. I've struggled with weight loss before. Personal trainer worked but I gained the weight back. I got as low as 185-ish and then went back up to 200. I want to get to 170! :)

Well since the original thread I have thought of a resolution, which is to break the 1000 minutes of voice calls per month barrier on my mobile phone. At the moment I'm averaging just under 500. I imagine that is small beer compared to most women.

That's a good point. I wonder why people never pledge to smoke, drink, and do more drugs? After all, that is far more pleasurable.

. Do you eat bread?Try cutting bread out of your diet completely... that will definitely help. I have done personal trainer too and the only thing that worked and kept thr weight off was counting calories, aim for a pound a week loss... the slower you lose the weight the easier it is to keep it off. Fad diets never work

Yea! I use a calorie counting site called MyFitnessPal by Under Armour. I used to do 1 pound per week which was eating 1860 calories per day (or thereabouts). This time I'm going to go for around 2 pounds per week; eating 1500 calories per day. I don't know how long I can stick with it, but I'll try. I exercise too so it ends up being a little faster than the prediction given by the calorie counter.

As for bread, I still eat some bread. About half as much. I don't cut it out completely though. I make sandwiches with one piece! :)

EDIT: The site is pretty cool. Sign up if you're interested! https://www.myfitnesspal.com/

well my more or less eternal goal, nothing new this year about it, is yes, of course, to go on living for at least another year,
and to keep getting better at illustrating the kind of world i'd like to live in, that lives inside my head,
and my actual dreams frequently take place in one it reasonably resembles.

I have one; just to love myself more than I have in prior years.
