My mom has a garden. She knows the names of their ailments too. Spittle bugs and nematode and aphids and powdery mildew... She really loves to garden, but anyway.. your post gives me fond memories! :) She's alive, but fond memories none the less.

Thanks, have a lot of flower pictures from my gardens, they help get me through the winter. I am tired of gardening right now so welcome fall and winter but come spring I get all fired up again:)

I must now go put some flower beds to sleep, leaves to rake, end of years weeds to remove. Soon it will all be done.

This is such an unusually beautiful flower. I've never seen them before...

I thought so too. I haven't seen any lately, but when I was a teen I thought they were really neat.

That's awesome! I've never had the chance to see one in person, so this picture is very cool to me.

They do look kinda like dancing ballerinas.

Red alder is one of my favorites. They grow very fast and serve an ecological purpose by fixing nitrogen. You have probably seen the wood as a component of unfinished furniture. Widespread in Cascadia.

Passion flower, I believe. I have seen them around here in specialty botanical gardens.

Got into gardening in a big way last year after my partner and I bought our first home. I'm so proud of everything we have so far successfully grown, but the white tulips are my favourite right now. :)
