No I don't it would take up far too much of my time and I'd rather just keep reading!

Hey mariecstasy. I think this is a great idea. I'm a big fan of collecting quotes, and inspiring / thought-provoking passages that I either read somewhere, or hear. I used to have a word document filled with them, but changed computers and lost it! :( Thanks for reminding me to start another! :)

yes i do, i did it for about 3 books ive read. its this small pink and sequined indian looking book. if i get too lazy to write them out i usually sticky note parts of the book if i own it.
but its great to have and look back on when you know the words can somehow effect you.

I usually type those parts on my computer and i have a folder with passages from several books. Very relaxing activity, and very useful when you remember it and read them again.

That is a cool idea. I've thought of doing something like that before but I never get around to it :( I need to start now, but then I'd have to reread all my fave old books again!!!!

I do it all the time! I have many folders with quotes and passages I've been collecting since 98. It's a good way to stack a personal reference of thoughts.

I do that too. I keep a composition notebook around for that. In a way I look at it like a sort of journal. I mean, at different times in my life different quotes and passages are going to jump out at me because I'll have different things on my mind. So, I see it as a good indicator of what I was thinking at that time in my life.
