An old silent pond...
A frog jumps into the pond,
splash! Silence again.

 

Torturing myself
5 am wake up call to
thought inside my head

 

You use computers.
IPods, mobiles, cameras.
Why not write letters?

 

Post-pandemic world
Shuttered storefronts and silence
Calmness meets chaos

I walk city streets
Gaze up at empty buildings
And masks on the ground

"What a strange week"
I pause and appreciate
The deafening quiet

But the sun will set
And it will become colder,
I move on towards home

 

The ocean is big,
And also it is pretty,
Pretty freakin' wet.

 

We were like children-
Immersed in simple wonder
Belly laughs and grins

Secrets whispered in
Low voices, to eager ears
With eyes that sparkled

Yielding to soft looks
The tenderness that comes with
Life's sweeter moments

 

I think haikus suck.
Has to be five seven five.
Who came up with this?

 

Pointless panicking
The boredom will get us first
Daytime TV...gross!

I love airport bars the best

Like a radiant lemon
I want to squeeze it

 

It's weird that squeeze is one syllable. It could easily be phonetically pronounced like ''ska-weeze''
