I think it looks great and you should do what you want
google has shown that everything works as a tattoo and if you want it and think it will suit you you should go for it if your iffy just wait and think about it

 

On your back i think it would be better in a more upside down triangle shape, stretch the wings and tail or leave it as it is and slap it on yer shoulder. Nice

 

I for the body and head I would jut go through and clean it up, make everything proportionate. For the wings, if you want them spread, they should be longer and sharper at the ends. This is a type of tattoo that would be good for across your shoulders and back.

This makes me second guess getting a shoulder tattoo so I can think of something to get across my shoulders and back.

I'm sure if you take this into a tattoo artist they will touch it up and make it look appropriate as a tattoo. It's great as an idea, it's good to go in with your vision and collaborate with the tattoo artist on something that works.
