    Amen.

To OP: the enlightenments attained on a psychedelic journey are in fact bona fide and APPLICABLE. When I drop acid I don't just achieve a feeling, I encounter an understanding, an understanding which I could describe to someone else and it would be just as true. If you were plowing a field and had a bull to pull the plow while you guided it a long and got a lot more work done in less time would you utilize?

The value of the crop is not diminished because you did or didn't use the bull.

Edit: Maybe a bull isn't the proper animal, but forgive me I don't farm much ha.

PS I hope everyones path is fulfilling and fruitful regardless of your means of enlightenment.

Ironically, this entire post is also a delusion, just one that is being proposed as "superior" because it is not drug-fueled.
Ultimately, karma is a delusion, the path is a delusion, yoga and meditation are delusions, and samsara is a delusion.

No lol...Life is strange, many things can make it seem like a delusion such as reality itself...However most things are just beliefs, i know iam alive right now becasue i believe iam alive

If i was walking around being like "were the fuck am i, this is impossible" then i would have been considered a person who was delusioned by reality..If iam walking around thinking "wow iam a individual that can examine my surroundings and communicate poorly in my case lol, then i have some sort of belief....I see a belief as another form of grip.

    Just my thoughts

You were saying that the entire post was a delusion right, karma and all that other kind of stuff as a delusion..I see it is as the basis of life, as in all of those beliefs were not delusions, just a way to keep some kind of grip.

I'm saying that "gripping" is the basis for all delusions.

Iam saying gripping is the basis of life...How delusions even came about amazes me...Delusions mean that some day a dude said wow everything is a delusion, was he delusional?

the truth is the truth whether discovered sober or on drugs. you are missing the point. what i was saying was that tripping is no replacement for practicing skillful means. nor is a replacement for combining wisdom with compassion. if anything tripping is just merely a supplement to developing spiritually. a nudge in the right direction.

a delusion is something that isn't true or that contradicts reality. if you are saying people can't achieve self realization through proven skillful means merged with wisdom and compassion you are wrong. i have seen for myself the positive habitual tendencies that develop from a sincere practice. That is my personal reality. You can call this a delusion but you have no argument to back it up. It is not a delusion to see that monks, yogis, and laypeople who practice with compassion change themselves and the world around them dramatically. Our belief in fundamental separation is the real delusion. Einstein called it the great optical delusion.

karma is cause and effect. simple as that. our universe is controlled by causality. i would like for you to explain in detail how causality is a delusion. Go ahead ill wait because it might take you a moment to disprove several fundamental models of physics at once.

Meditation is just awareness that encompasses the present moment fully. people meditate and they don't even know it. Driving can even be a form of meditation if you are focused fully in what you are doing. The human awareness can be sharpened and trained. Please explain how the capacity for a persons attention to be free from distraction is a delusion? There have been ECG studies done on monks meditating and it is proven that they are causing physical changes in the brain. How is meditation a delusion (a lie) if it has very real effects and implications for the meditator?

Samsara is a condition and it's very real. Beings create suffering for others and themselves through ignorance. Samsara itself is not a delusion. It is the result of a delusion. You seem to be able to use the word but you have no ability to provide an explanation or elaborate as to why. How convenient.

and i'm saying that gripping is a tool. we can skillfully use desire and attachment to help free ourselves from the mental prisons that we create.
our natural tendency is to grasp towards things we like and avert from those we don't. We can manipulate this tendency to create positive habits.

you have done absolutely nothing to clarify your point. i see you as just another lost stoner with an inflated ego because he tripped and discovered everything is a "delusion". please stop spouting your cryptic nonsense and trying to mislead people. there is very little time in this life and we shouldn't waste it making vague statements that confuse others.

i think the point is to align the head with the intents of the heart. interesting when we look to the mid point... the throat? our word is what defines the balance.

make a thread about how we can remain balanced in a sea of karmic darkness while maintaining the spirit of timothy leary and ram dass alive in our hearts, sometimes our minds, but ESPECIALLY our throats, so that our power level may one day be over 9000. all while realizing that there is no path, actually wait everything is the path, er no well for sure YOU are the path. ok forget the path, its totally making my karma greasy.
