Yes. I have wicked penis envy. To have a day to have a penis to play with would be just the bee's knees. I'd be a depraved pervert if I stayed male for longer than a day.

yeah but girls can be as mean as they want to men, and us men can't do anything about it ;)

what I mean is some women have treated me in such ways that if they were a man, it would deserve an ass kicking ... but they're a girl so they get away with it.

Don't take this to mean I have anything against women, some *people* are just trashy people and disrespectful.

I was talking to the pharmacist yesterday, and they had "flonase" and someone said it was an antihistamine, and I said no, it's a corticosteroid ester, and the propianate is the ester chain length, and I asked the pharmacist if I was correct and she said yes, and she asked me if I studied pharmacology, or O-chem. I told her, no my field is computer science, but I do know a tiny bit about some pharmacology and basic chemistry .. I think she liked me. This is the type of woman I like, a real intellectual woman with class :)

Hell No, I enjoy being the faster, smarter, and stronger sex, besides imagine 9 months of gestation, monthly cyclical hell, depression, and finally menopause leading to bleeding, urinary pain, and hot flashes – no thanks. [IMG]

Ace, you don't have to prove there are smart women. We know there are 1 or 2 out there!

i've thought about being born on a different world in a different solar system where people look like they do on that world instead of this one, and whatever gender i'm born as there, will be whatever it will. same as every life i've lived before this one.

Male privilege would be pretty cool, but I'd really only be into exploring the sexual aspects. I like being female.

I don't recall really ever spending any time deliberately thinking about being a woman, however there are times I attempt to "put myself in a woman's shoes" when considering certain circumstances. Jung's concept of anima, or the unconscious representations of female characteristics residing in males makes some sense to me.

i think people make genders a bigger deal then they have any natural reason to be.
not all humans in all human cultures have always done so either.

and most other species are no where near as big a deal about it.

    What are you talking about?

From everything I've heard regarding gender in the rest of the animal kingdom, gender plays a HUGE role amongst animals. Gender influences everything from organzation of groups, dictates social hierarchies, influences features and traits in natural selection and influences behaviors.

you've either been reading too narrowly, or not reading and observing enough. there is a huge amount of narrowly written material. i will grant you that. social preditors can be quite hierarchal when it comes to organizing the hunt, but this is a seperate matter entirely, and of course it depends very much upon specific species, but gender usually plays a much lesser role in non-human hierarchies in general.

maternal instincts are the major exception, but frequently prove to be the only one. and even those, there are many species in which gender roles have been 'traded' or blured, beyond the specifics of the act of reproduction.

Darwinian work and pretty much every nat geo animal special I've ever seen are my sources to go on, can you recommend any other sources that are "less narrow" with information to the contrary?
