Genders a pretty strong aspect of life. It heavily defines how you perceive the world, and how others perceive you in it.

That being said, have you ever thought about being on the other side?

(And I don't mean bruce jenner shit, you can get offended all you want, if you're brainwashed by politcal correctness. But that's just a butchered male pumped with chemicals)

    Simply a hypothetical question

i think each time we're born its a roll of the dice, just like what kind of a world we'll be born on and what people and cultures and everything will be like. i happen to have been born male this time, and i feel that i'm good with whatever i happen to born. maybe next time, next world i'll have retractable claws. those would actually be useful. maybe not all worlds, higher life forms have exactly two physical genders. other forms of reproduction are not unknown. no reason to assume sapients on other worlds don't have some of the several other possible ways.

physical characteristics are more then just gender.

I'm kind of suprised by peoples answers. I think probably at least once every year, what if I were a girl. Or what if I were black or spanish.

I like to people watch too, just thinking what people see their world as

I had what it took to be a man when young, including playing sports, my physique, and my looks passed for OK, so I identified as male through and through. If I were to wish that I could be a woman for a short time, it would be to experience sex from their side. Shallow perhaps, but think about the advantage women have when it comes to insertion for sexual pleasure and what WE do for pleasure. Skin down--skin up. Pfffft. But, I wouldn't want to actually be a woman because of ALL the trips they have to go through to become
"desirable," and the shit they have gone through, particularly in uncivilized areas of the world.

maybe you phrased your question a little too strongly...

"have you ever thought about being on the other side?"

maybe you should ask "have you ever thought about what it would be like being on the other side?"

i don't know how anyone could NOT have had that thought - at least wondered what it would like to the opposite gender. it doesn't mean you're going to do it!

many of the (few) people i know (at all) who think about themselves as other species, also do.
to me its just not an big thing. i'm not attracted that way,
but more power to those who avoid increasing the already excessive number of humans.

each time we're born its a roll of the dice, what gender we'll be born as.
that's my belief, and it ain't no big deal whether anyone keeps or changes it.

I've often thought about the guy I would be. I know the clothes I'd have, the job I'd have.

I occasionally think and imagine all kinds of things, including how other people than me are perceiving the world and well, just are :p

    Construction worker? Pro soccer player?

Nope. I'd probably be a professor at a university who wears tweed, has a big beard and smokes a pipe!!

Haha :-D Being a professor suits me more as well than pro soccer player or construction worker :p Not sure what profession I would have if I would have been a woman, or how different it would be.

The professor look appeals to me too but it is fair to state I will probably not be a professor in this lifetime (which is ok). Not a reason to not smoke pipe and wear tweed of course.
