do you ever talk about the forums

I've mentioned it a few times, yes.

 

Yeah sometimes, it will come up in conversation.

 

I talk about HF to some chill friends of mine to get them to join up. Think I told Funkateer about this place then he joined and you see how much y'all like him.

 

So you're to blame for that one, eh.

i talk to my hubby about it when the silly hippys are being silly hippys and we sigh and laugh at them, then construct an ultimate arguement to smack them on there ass. apart from that, never.

I don't see talking on forums as "socially acceptable" in the outside world

Plus I take the piss out of people constantly who met their gf's via the net etc.

However I notice that in the past couple of years net stuff has become more socially acceptable.Altho u lot are all freaks

I've only told two people.
My brother cause we were talking about forums
and my friend cause of all of my friends, she should be the one on here and now she is. ^_^

 

I talk about it when people see me on it, but for the most part my friends really don't care. Half of 'em don't even know what a myspace is, really.

In fact when they come over and I'm on, I tell thim, "This is the forum I used to talk about all the time." Which is followed by a blank stare until I say, "It's kinda like a myspace, but way tighter because people actually talk about shit." And then they nod, and change the subject.

If they were more internet savvy, I would talk to them more, but the words "post", "thread", "flaming" etc are all lost on them.

 

I only tell the cops specifics

I thought i made in perfectly clear in the first post that if you're too cool to talk about the forums in your fabulous real life that you didnt need to post here

 

for some reason, I don't think too many people I know in real life would get a kick out of a website like this the way I do, lol.

I mentioned the site to my best friend when I first signed up. and I tell my mom all the time stuff like 'yeah I was reading on this forum yada yada yada, and I think yada yada yada, what do you think mom?'

but other than that, I don't really talk about hipforums much.
