I do. All the time. This song was in my dreams last night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAEwLvxHVVk
I think more often I hear music at that state where I'm kind of in between being awake and sleep. It's usually crap radio music I hear too for some reason
I have music when I am full on, lucid dreaming. It makes sense, though, because I have music in my head almost always while I am awake, so it doesn't seem out of the ordinary for me to hear music in my dreams.
i think so, occasionally. lots of times i hear whatever sounds are going on around me in real life in my dreams, so if music is playing while i sleep, i probably hear it in my dreams.
yes and occasionally i wake up remembering part of a lyric. such as "ride from paris into palermo, on the brand new mag lev express" which after i woke up and did a bit of hunting around, turned out to be to the tune of the beatles "you know it ain't easy", or whatever the name of it happens to be, from the white album. lol. but yes, sights, sounds, books, mirrors, computer screens, they all, everything works, even smell and tactile sensations. the principal difference that doesn't seem to work for me in real life, that works sometimes too well in my dreams, are things like teleportation, telekenisis, levitation and all that sort of thing. obsessing on something makes it happen whether i want it to or not. i don't always want to teleport. i'd usually rather ride a train or a trolley or sometimes even a bus. sometimes it seems like obsessing on something makes it happen, especially when i don't want it to, in real life too. though not nearly as often nor consistantly as it does in dreams. another hold over from my dreams that sometimes happens in real life is people hearing my thoughts. i don't ever hear theirs, for which i'm actually quite grateful, unless there were some way i could filter or choose them, but my own head, however it does it, and it isn't anything i choose, seems to shout whatever i'm thinking, and i mean in finer detail then is likely to be conveyed by kenisics and proximics alone.
if there is music around me while sleeping then yes sometimes. other times i have actually sung songs in dreams. and on a couple occasions i have (or someone in the dream) has sung a song and then i wake up to find out it is likely that the song in the dream was being played in the last few minutes.
Never once and I dream excessively. I too hear background noises in my dreams but never music Hotwater
what i always hear in my dreams is the damn train whistle. the last 2 places i've lived were within a couple miles of a heavily used track, so on the rare occasions it doesn't wake me, i hear a strange screaming in my dreams that is explained only when i do wake up for it.
A few days ago I woke up with the lyrics of an unfamiliar song in my head. It went, "Over the sea and across the stars, Fernando, Fernando." Do these lyrics sound familiar to anyone?
sounds like something i might have heard in one of mine. a filk, based on one of leguinne's earthsea books possibly. don't know if its been written or sung in this universe. well that's just the furst one i thought of. the possibilities are of course infinite. doing a quick google it seems abba did something about a fernando, though it doesn't exactly seem to fit otherwise. also found vaadhoo island maldives. google is more earthbound then it has any reason to be. i can't believe how desperate out dominant culture is to forget there's a big wonderful universe out there that our earth is only one tiny part of after all.
i actually had an original (as far as i know) song in my dream the other day. someone was talking to me about some random guy named john blunt and a choir started singing the john blunt theme song in the background of my dream.
Yes. I do hear music in my dreams. I take a lot of confort in my dreams. Often, they feel a lot more real than life itself. That song is horrible. Hopefully it will not come back to hunt me in my dreams. I have suffered enough as it is.
Yeah, I hadn't really heard it in my dream, but somehow I remembered the tune and tempo. It sounded more like an old Mexican folk song, but I'll never be sure.
Headlights? I fucking love that track. I bet the only "music" you really have a taste for is the rattling of a shopping cart full of cans down a back alley, or the sound of a homeless crackhead banging on an upside-down garbage bin because they think it's a bongo drum.
Eh, he's been trolling me for a while and I finally had a chance to get a dig in there. I could care less what anyone thinks of the music I like.
