Do you dig Jesus?

I think it is obvious that a message of peace is a good one, i just didn't know if the condition that it's good if it's God's word, combined with your doubt of it being God's word changed your opinion.

 

Sure. The US owes its prosperity to centuries of slavery and cheap immigrant labor. The UN and Red Cross do good work, and don't need the trappings and exclusions of religion to do it. Meaning, they employ scientists who may or may not be christian, and they have no other motive. Unlike salvation army and love inc. and tons of other organizations that say "here's the help you need, and here's why you should be a christian."

On topic, though, yes, from what I know and have read in the bible, Jesus was a cool guy. He spoke for the little guy, and would be something like ghandi or MLK.

 

Something like Ghandi and MLK? He DIRECTLY influenced these people.

 

Yea, but they couldn't have done it without HIM !

 

That was my point, but then I was shot down by self-righteousness. It's not my place to argue about these things, only to pray for guidance and for those who do not come to Christ through His righteousness.
