Do you call yourself an Artist?

@meridianwest I totally know what you mean about the commitment and pursuit thing. For myself, I think it's because I have so much respect for other artists, that I feel bad that I use the same title as them. Like putting myself/my art on the same level as theirs. I know everyone's art should be seen as equal, but that's not how I see my own, :/

many people call the music i write art
i would call it art as well, if someone else wrote it lol

i dont know, it just doesnt seem creative to me, its just something my brain produces regularily
to me its not new, or different, its just something i do

 

yeah, I completely agree. people shouldn't start calling themselves an artist so easily. but that's what they do, and it's kind of a turn-off if you think about it.
