lot's of people take what they see on the news as the real story/ full story. The one lesson I learned is believe half of what you hear. Take everything with a grain of salt but also understand the story as well. Develop your own opinions on an issue not what they tv is telling you, but take what others say about an issue as important info too. There is a large degree of mind control by the media on the public, even if it is not really their goal.
entertainment is the new opium of the people. let's face it... if "everybody" didn't have a computer, three hundred and thirteen channels of shit on the TV to choose from, and enough problems with what fucking pants they should wear for work next week, people would take time to question the authorities and try to change the world. the authorities don't want that, of course, so... well, you know the rest... you can't say the governments of the world's countries have nothing to say about the entertainment world.
