Two photos of my front yard, taken seconds apart...

That's not the sun... I am facing north, and it's a cloudy day.

This was right after I bought this place 9 years ago.

i believe in a universe not limited by or to what we think we know about it. i do believe in a universal wonder of strangeness,
but that being a separate thing, from life having evolved on other worlds in other solar systems.

as for things people see in the sky, all of them have some sort of physical causes. none of them have to be from elsewhere. none of them have to not be.
yup, fuzzy blobs of light in the sky, are real fuzzy blobs of light in the sky. most of them are probably NOT malfunctioning cloaking devices. some of them still could be.

Maybe….But there’s a long ways to go in understanding this planet right now. For instance the abilities of our fellow creatures approaches ESP for humans. Yesterday my partner came home and while she was still half a mile away on a busy street, our parrot heard her car and let out a greeting…..and the parrot was in the house with the windows closed!! Or the scent ability of dogs….as many a drug smuggler has learned to their dismay. Or the sight ability of birds of prey to spy a rodent from 1000feet in the air. This list of amazing ability goes on.

i believe it is unfortunate that a lot of people just assume everything has to be one kind of thing, when there's really no basis assume anything of the kind.
if people want to look at one kind of thing, well almost everything in the physical universe is mineral, and owes nothing to the unwillingness of our egos to accept the existence of things we have no idea about, or that we have no idea about them, nor need to have any idea about them for them to exist.
the universal wonder of strangeness is a real thing, that owes nothing to our unwillingness to accept, that anything can exist without any of the things we tell each other to pretend they know about them. my point is that speculation is not a limitation on existence. its the refusal to accept the unknown as being unknown, without having to put any kind of assumed bias spin on it.
unreliable and intermittant things, aren't prevented from existing. people just assume, that if anything exists, someone somewhere has to know about it, and this is simply not the case.
