i believe in something that might be god, but doesn't have to be what anyone thinks they know about it.
The holy bible should have a message on it that says "do not try this at home" Because if someone with a goatee and long hair walked along the streets and announced that they are the son of god and told everyone their time of punishment is coming soon. All they will do is fill his grail full of spare change and tell him to get a job. The bible is a great story though. Shows how strong human ideals and religious changes of heart CAN be in the face of governmental narcissism and massive public dis-acceptance. Its all fictional of course, but a great story of semi-peaceful rebellion. Kind of ironic in a way, because of how much following and obedience it spawned.
If there is a supreme being(s) that can watch us, I'm sure it/they are constantly doing their form of laughter watching us constantly try to figure it out.
Wonder if their laughing because its going to be difficult to figure, which means we're doing a lot for not. Or if its really easy, under our noses typed stuff.
I think its more like a cat and dog trying to chase a light or lazer pointer, we keep on chasing the projected light but don't (possibly can't) think to to look for its source. So probably the lot for not statement you made, but possibly both.
If someone proved he was real, then of course I would. But otherwise there's no feasible amount of proof to enlighten me as such. I don't knock it though. I mean much of the science of the universe is an equal study and trepidation of what we do not know.
i believe in something that could be described as a god or not, depending upon an individual's personal conscience. i think its god, or close enough to what makes it one to me. though because it owes nothing to established beliefs, some of those most blinded by them, might not think so.
Good in the world should have a believable abstract justification outside the World. Remembering the Bush era, it had no form as of necessity but It still could resound between the believers and non-believers. Be careful, I agreed with something that way for the means to separate this World from the Other purposeful world We all fight for.
This is not a belief but an observation. Try to take the world from me and I will struggle to keep it. I am hard wired devotion.
Plato: this World exists without time; that's easy enough, because the essential world materialized that Other without Time as well. So what's with time in essence? Bush was clever, eh?
