Do you attend services of any type - for any religion?

  2. Catholic Mass

I try to go every Sunday, but sometimes I don't.
Sometimes I go during the week.
    But yeah...catholic mass.

There is a monastery near me. I was interested in attending Midnight Mass on Christmas but I never did.

  4. Ooo that's interesting. I'd go, even if it wasn't my religion.
I went to quite a few worship services of other religions.
Nothing to lose...something to appreciate in every faith.

Do you happen to know what monastic order it is?

It's this one: Monastery of the Holy Spirit |

  6. Oh trappists <3

I like it that they work a lot and hard, and actually produce things.
I see that they have a bakery. Have you tried anything?
There is a trappist monastery in Bosnia, they make cheese.
Sadly, there are only three or two monks there now.

I think Asmo once told me that trappists in his country make beer.

I've bought their jelly and bread.

    They sell Bonsai plants too.

    I have a medal I bought there when I was a teen.

Also, when I was a child I bought a baggie full of colored glass chips from their stain glass windows.

  8. Aerianne, your trappist monastery reminded me of the movie Of Gods and Men.
Based on a true story about a group of trappist monks in Algeria that were murdered.
Now I want to see it again.

Not as often as I used to and not as often as I should. I had a crisis of faith years ago, and only partially recovered

I tried a few local churches but didn't get on with it

I found most of the Christians there most un-Christian

I find my religion in other places. Or not as the case may be or the mood finds me

It's been quite awhile for me, honesty. I got distracted by a lot of things going on around me.

I wasn't brought up religious at all but I would explore different churches and places of worship on my own. I've visited everything under the sun. Recently, I've become more involved with the Catholic Church. I go to church every Sunday. I find it relaxing and peaceful. I love the choir and tranquility.

I had the vision of 3 churches in the night . Went first to largest and the door was locked .
Walked on to another , yet smaller , and the door was locked . Then came upon a 3rd and
tiniest church - opened the door - and Wo! Phantasmagorical !

    How-so? enjoyed a psychedelic puppet show .

Later on this happened . In its reality tho , around a town I'd recently moved to I searched for and
discovered a little open church in the night and could play church piano free and peaceful in the
glo of stained-glass birds . Other doors had indeed been locked . I tried .

No I come from an abusive Catholic family. Not my dad but his parents. They hated me because my mom was not Catholic. So I will never be in a church besides my own.

Interestingly, "Des hommes et des dieux" could either be translated "of Gods and of men" or "some Gods and some men".
