Well, being that I've only ever had one penis and it's circumsized, I prefer circumsized! ;)

But if my husband has been UNcircumsized, then I would prefer uncircumsized!

I've never seen one I don't know how different they are so I guess I shouldn't knock something I've never tried :)

Everyone (only 3) before hubby was cut. Hubby is only half cut...never knew they did that till he told me lol, but whatever. I've never even SEEN a fully uncut one. But I imagine I wouldn't care. Well...I mean now of course it'll never happen ;), being happily attached and all lol. Anyway, I had a friend who dated a guy from England a few years ago. They started over the internet, and they fell in love, but when she met him, she got annoyed with him really quickly, but STAYED with him for almost a year I think...JUST because she liked his uncut penis! lol...she's a freakin weirdo. Seriously, my other friend and I would ask her, after having listened to her complain for 30 mins about this guy, why she wouldn't break up with him...and she'd whine and little, then say "*sigh*, I just LOVE his PENIS!" damn weirdo. She never even slept with him lol

Yep, only one. I had been planning on waiting until I was married, but I fell madly in love, threw all caution to the wind, made love, and ended up marrying him anyway. ;)

I've been with my hubby for 9 years now! :)

It's so weird how there's such a HUGE cultural difference between Europe and America when it comes to circumcision.. :D In Europe circumcision is just not very common, unless you're Jewish and in America.. well it seems to be a normal custom. I think it's rather interesting. :D
Anyway.. I couldn't really care less whether a guy is cut or uncut. And besides, they look pretty much the same when they're hard anyway. :p

Don't mean to spoil the fun, but joking aside, the topic of circumcision is very serious. People need to be aware that when they spread rumours like "it's unclean not to be circumcised" they are contributing to a society (specifically ignorant or old-fashioned American people) who brutalise their babies by fuelling misconceptions.

Putting aside the issue of whether it's "sexy" or it "looks cool", circumcision has two purposes: the Jewish have used it for centuries as a sacrifice (ie acknowledging that it is a bad thing); but in the last 100 years, many American people have used it to prevent boys from masturbating. Today, we know that masturbation is not harmful, so circumcision no longer serves any practical purpose.

On the contrarty, it is detrimental to the boy:

    Detrimental effects of circumcision
    • It's extremely painful and often the pain is so intense that the baby won't always cry because it has gone into traumatic shock (babies experience more intense pain than adults, plus they are not anaesthetised like adults are).
    • It can cause behavioural, relationship and sleep changes in the baby.
    • It interferes with the natural development of the penis (when a boy is born, the foreskin is melded to the head of the penis and is not supposed to be fully retracted until he's many years older).
    • The surgery has a high risk rate of complication (some studies suggest the complication rate is as high as 38%)
    • It significantly reduces a man's sexual pleasure during sex (the average foreskin is 12 square inches of highly sensitive skin).
    • Also, foreskin has 12 important functions including keeping the penis protected, keeping it moist, keeping the penis coated in an antibacterial residue, making sexual intercourse easier, providing the additional skin needed for the erect penis to elongate properly, and providing sexual pleasure.
    • Most importantly, circumcision violates the human rights of the boy since he is too young to say no to the treatment.

    Myths
There are many myths about circumcision: The most popular is that it makes the penis cleaner; this is not true — although it does make it very slightly easier to wash. The foreskin is there to keep the bacteria out, not in! Another popular myth is that the foreskin is useless; as I have stated above the foreskin has twelve uses and they're all very important (what man wants most of his sexual pleasure taken away?). And as for the original myth about curing masturbation that caused circumcision to become popular 100 years ago — no, it doesn't "cure" masturbation; statistically, it actually makes a boy more likely to masturbate.

    Preventative cure
One alleged benefit of circumcision is that it reduces the risk of penile cancer, urinary tract infection, or a whole host of STDs. While SOME recent studies have shown a decreased risk of these things in a circumcised baby (note that these studies are recent, and mostly inconclusive), the conditions themselves are EXTREMELY rare, and following that logic you could save many more lives by removing the entire penis, the testacles, breasts, arms, legs, ears, etc. The scientific consensus is that these conditions are so rare that it is not acceptable to "cure" these conditions preventatively by removing part of the body. Besides which, most of these conditions (especially STDs) are developed much later in life, so there's no need to circumcise a man when he's a baby — let him decide as an adult if he wants to reduce his risk of rare conditions by chopping off the end of his cock and losing his sexual pleasure.

I don't like to rant, but what I'm saying HAS to be said. Please remember it and spread the truth instead of the lies! If you want more information, look on the American Medical Association, or go to http://www.circumcision.org/information.htm

    Thanks Tony! :)

Actually, I'm not circumcised. But what I said has nothing to do with me personally. I'd feel just as strongly about it if I was circumcised.

I really don't know the difference. I guess I've never seen enough penises (peni?) to really judge. It really doesn't matter to me as long as it's all nice and clean either way.

Though I am Jewish, so I plan to have any sons that I may have circumcised.

Please think this through before you go doing anything stupid! Read what I said on the last page, and of course read a lot more about the subject if you're ever thinking of going through with it!

If you're not extremely dedicated to your religion then I would urge you not to do it! And even if you are... consider letting your son make the choice. I don't think it's fair to force your religious values onto your children. I'm a Christian and I would never do that. (I would hope my children would find Christ when they are old enough.)

Here's a lot more you can read on the subject:

    http://www.circumcision.org

If males were meant to be circumcised they would be born that way. It is nothing short of child abuse to do that to innocent babies. If we did that to animals it would be called animal cruelty. It's really a shame that men who were circumcised at birth, and had no choice in the matter, will NEVER know of the wonderful sexual sensations in the foreskin due to the special nerve endings there.

Uncircumcised men know exactly what I'm talking about, and it is extremely rare that any man having been lucky enough to escape this cruel practice as a child would ever want his foreskin removed once he has become sexually mature.

I have plenty of Jewish friends and I don't know a single one who was traumatized as an infant due to circumcision. Also, from the men that I've talked to who are circumised, they say they have no problem sexually due to it.

I'm not dedicated to the religion but I'm EXTREMELY proud and dedicated to the culture. This practice has existed for thousands of years with no problem whatsoever with males, and I don't think any problems are going to start miraculously popping up any time soon.

How would they remember? Does anyone remember what may or may not have happened to them within minutes or days of their birth?

That's part of the problem. These unfortunate men don't know any different. Talk to someone who had it done after they were grown, then they'd be able to compare. And nobody (at least I don't think so) has said that circumcised men have "problems." But uncut men KNOW what circumcised are missing. Circumcised men just don't know and they'll never know. (Although there is foreskin replacement surgery, I don't know how successful it is in bringing back the nerves and feelings that were taken away when the skin was cut off.)
