I'm staying in a student accommodation complex. I've been there for 3 months now & I haven't watched any porn just in case they might know and in case it's against there policy. I haven't actually bothered to check the policy, because this is only something I contemplate right before masturbation.... until now! If I watch porn, doesn't that only mean that they know which apartment it's coming from? Or do they've a way of knowing which room it's coming from? It's not my laptop shows up with my name!! It's like as if I feel some sort of alarm bell goes off down at reception if I watch porn.
No one has answered my question? I, unlike the botty boy here do care if people can see this kind of stuff. Obviously someone who takes it in the ass from his own wife doesn't have much of an ego to look after, but I do. So having the botty boy of all people telling me not to watch it, is only going to make me more likely to not watch it!
You should check the policy. There may not be any exclusions on what you look at so at that point the question posed in your original post becomes moot. Regardless of what is or isn't policy the technical capability exists to see just about everything you do on your computer. Whether or not those capabilities are implemented in your environment is a completely different question.
damn people are paranoid ... have "they" installed any software on your computer? if not then i wouldnt worry about spying. if your connected to a network that they own, then its possible to see the network packets from all the computers on the network ... but thats a lot of packets and no human is going to make it a 24hr/day job watching this and trying to keep up with it all ...nor do they care to im sure. but the machines will know ... but they dont seem to care either you should verify that watching porn is not prohibited just to ease your mind.
While i go back to my room and let my wife fuck me up the arse and wank while she does it, you just sit there wondering wether someone is watching you on cam or looking at your history while u wank alone, wishing u had a woman to fuck you up the arse. Fuck head.
Oh, I missed this one! Yet another wonderful joke. He was really thinking outside the box with it. You know it's not fair undies isn't getting recognition for his jokes
I'd agree that if those who run the network you are connected to had a mind to they could find what sites are being visited and could find a unique ID (MAC address, for example) for the computer accessing those sites. It is possible they may also find clues that would give away whose computer it is. Whether they could be bothered with any of that is different matter. I would think probably not but then I have never come across anywhere where the rules for occupying an apartment touch on your choice of entertainment. In my experience they usually concern themselves with not damaging the fixtures and fittings, not removing furniture or other supplied equipment, and not disturbing the neighbours. No harm in checking, though.
not true. you can see which urls they are visiting in real time. years ago I worked at a small software/computer co (autodesk reseller) and one day the network guy was doing some stuff on the server and got all pissed off, went into the other room and told Tim, one of the salesmen, to stop visiting gay porn sites at work. dude nearly shit himself and did the classic fumble to try and cover up his monitor. and this was back on a Novell network and Win 3.11. So yeah, the network admins can see what/where you do. Do they care, who knows. what are you in some Catholic boys school or some crap?
First of all, in most countries, so long as you're over 18 it's perfectly legal to watch porn (unless, of course it's stuff like kiddie porn, of course). Secondly, unlike in the workplace, or in the classroom, the residencies are considered private & what you do in them are private also. You might even like to try InPrivate Browsing, so it doesn't keep a record on your History. Personally, I don't give a toss if anyone sees what I watch. It's a perfectly normal, healthy activity & it's legal. As for anyone else's moral objections - screw them. It's my life & none of their holier than thou business.
