Do punks really hate hippies

why is it wrong? or 'just' wrong, like its some absolute truth. i personally don't really think its more wrong to hate hippy than to hate anyone else. it's not like hippies are saints of any kind, they are just people, labeling themselves and being labelled as a hippie for all kinds of silly reasons.

I think its just a stereotype every generation of hippies and punks reinforce just because they heard the older generations did it too. now that's not progress, its being stuck just like trying to live up to any stereotype being it countercultural or not is

ur true btw, but its inevitable in a way. I mean can you expect anyone that thinks the boys in punkbands look cute or whatever to be aware of its roots its message and its true idols? everyone is ignorant in some way or another
