Yes, even my own grandmother, normally a very intelligent woman. Actually, part of me has always wondered if she spells it the way she does because she thinks her way is the right way.
Misspell, mispronounce... It's never a problem in Finland, but in UK... Mwuahaha, I like to confuse people by telling them my last name really fast. No one can ever get it right, especially coz it has those ä-letters in it. And also my first name, Johanna, is almost always pronounced as Joanna, even tho it's really far from it.
people always think ive said my name is Alice which it isnt and that annoys me, but people always mispronounce my last name and seem to think its hilarious
people say it wrong kinda like ALWAYS. I would understand it, if they weren´t german, but they mostly are, which is kinda funny 'cause my name´s just 2 german words put together. Shouldn´t be so difficult...
I've had people misspell my name a few times. My biggest problem is my last name. It's easy to spell, but people look at me like I'm retarded. I had to go to the main campus and get some paperwork filled out and the lady at the desk asked me for my last name. When I told her she gave me that look I've come to know so well, and said I asked for your last name. Stupid people! I know my own freakin' name.
oh yes. People always inovate in finding weird ways to spell Flannery.... Not talking about my last name..
There are so many variations of the name "Christine" that no one ever remembers exactly what it is. I get Christina, Christy, ect... It's annoying. And no one can ever spell or pronounce my last name.
there is a teacher who intentionally says my name wrong because he can't pronounce it. he usually mumbles some that ends in the same way my last name is said
I had a teacher who mispronounced my name on purpose because he hated my and my whole family. And no matter how many times my brothers and I told him how to pronounce it, he would still do it wrong.
nobody has ever spelled my name wrong, my last name on the other hand, all of the freakin time and they pronounce it wrong all the time..
