I don't know what a person is supposed look like at 30. I just say that I disagree. This actor is probably not even 30 here. He was born in 1939, the movie was relased in 1969. But suppose this scene was recorded 1 year before the movie was released, which is most likely. That would make him 29. Let's suppose that this scene was recorded in the same year as the movie was released, then it would make him 30. When I look at people in movies or tv serious, 30 year olds dont really look younger than me to me This man played in an internet show in Turkey (tv series for internet) and he is 28 years old in this picture. And all the people of the same age looked the same as him in the show.
Its not necessarily the age, but someone who is clean shaven looks so much better than someone carrying a face full of fungus !!!
Neatly trimmed "beared" would be the way to go for me. 3mm at the front and 2mm down the sides. It will be severe for you but I think it would make you very appealing to women as well as making you look younger . It will need a lot of maintaining as well to keep it at that length . Your hair would look better cut and styled as well. But get that done though an hairdresser .
A guy on Girlsaskguys even said that I looked in 40s. Let's give an another example; This is Belmando when he was either 41 (minumum) or 42 (maximum) so he is in his early 40s here. This movie was relased in 1975 and he was born in 1933. If you suggest the picture is from the same year as the movie was released. Then he'd be 42 at maximum.
Same people said Belmando looked 10 years older. So according to people, most people look older than their ages. I seriously don't think I look older than 30 with beard. This is the way a man with his beard would look in his 30. Lol.
Some of it depends on culture and fashion where you are .And what you want to achieve I suppose when socialising If I had a beard that length then I would not get many looks from females . That's because beards that length are not fashionable here at the moment .They may well be in the future who knows . However with the facial hair I have at the moment and my overall grooming , overall looks and dress , I do get the Fireman walking into a room effect from women . So I wouldn't change anything I do at the moment .
Judging your own age is difficult, because you know it, so you can't really ask yourself 'how old do i look' and give yourself an honest answer, others need to do that, but always ask more than one person. I used to always pass for being much younger than I was, even in my early 20's if I went into a strange pub they'd ask for ID! Many times people would say I looked younger than I was, then one day I was in my local shop and happened to mention that it was my birthday the following day, 'oh how old are you then?' asked one of the girls behind the counter, ' well I'm 50 tomorrow' I replied, 'oh I thought you were older than that' she replied, 'mind you I was never good at guessing ages' she went on.'Blimey, I though you were only in your early 40's' replied the other girl. I often see other blokes my age, some of them look really old, my wife reckons I don't look my age, then again I don't dress like a 55 year old. I had to laugh a few years back, I must have been about 51, I was out with my daughter and my two grandaughters, she was about 30 at the time, I ran into someone I'd not seen for a while, 'hello mate, nice to see you again' he said, he looked at our little group, 'well I never thought I'd see that' he went on, 'see what?' I asked, 'well, you all settled and married with a couple of kids' he replied. I looked at him and laughed, 'this is my daughter and grandkids' I replied, seein the look on my daughters face, 'bloody hell, grandkids, I didn't think you were that old' he replied, looking somewhat embarrassed. A lot depends on how you look and how you dress, beards are generally for older men, it's the same with dressing too, sometimes people look older than they are but still wear clothes for people their age, it looks silly, it's a bit like when you see an older bloke dressing younger trying to impress a young woman, it looks silly. Forget about film stars, they tend to look older because of the way they dress, look at people your own age, lads you hang out with etc, you'll soon get the idea.
I don't get any looks from females in anyway because I am not a good looking guy in anyway Short hair, Long hair, With beard or Without beard. Even my weight varries from what people call skinny to what people call obese. I became every version of me and I never ever had a look from a female.
I put a picture of a man from today's time (our time). Did you see the guy at 28 above? It is just from 3 years ago and everybody in that show who are at his age looks about same as him. So one example was enough for that reason from the show.
In case you missed it, I put it again. This guy is 28 years old here and everybody in the show who are at the same age just look the same as him.
Yes matey, but you'll notice he's not so much wearing a large bushy beard, more designer stubble - which would tend to make him look more youthful than he is !!!
How old you look is about the tone of your face, not about fashion. Plus he does not even have hair on his head. Lol.
At a first glance, I would have put the age of the guy in the picture between 35 and 40, but when I tool the beer gut and beard away, you look quite near to your true age of 30. The problem with looking at films, is that the make up artist matches the age of the actor to the character that he is playing. Lines can be either filled or drawn on, easily varying an age by 10 years. From your experience, what age would you think that the guy in this picture is.?
With beard, the tone of the face is still obvious. Unless the beard grows in white color, it won't add much age to a person, considering even 18 year olds have beard.
You are missing the point completely, a beard or a moustache DOES make a person look older, that's why a lot of men grow them, I had a mate at school, he grew a 'tache, he was only 15 but never had any problems buying beer at the off licence. Some people try to look older because of their job, be honest you'd take more notice of someone if they looked about 40 than if they looked about 20, it's just a fact, people never see young people as authority figures, thats why people tend to take more notice of an older cop than a younger one, it's sort of psychological, if you have an older person and a younger person people will automatically think the older one is more experienced even if they are not.
That is what makes it difficult, you tend to see the beard before studying the face, I tend to judge a persons age more by their conversation than their appearance, but I am not very good at it. How old do you think that the person in the picture that I posted is.? He does not have a beard to confuse you.
