Went on a 5 day binge of shooting up about 3 weeks ago. First meth, then some heroin and crack. By the last day, I was shooting just crack, I must have shot about $150 worth of rock, and I wasn't getting high from it. I noticed that in both arms and both veins that I always use, the blood was very dark, as if the vein closed off, I figured that this was why I wasn't getting high, because the vein collapsed somewhere or something. However, I am totally healed up now. I have spaced out my use and I am going to IV again Thursday morning, with another long break again.

Do you think that my vein is still collapsed and I should go to another vein or higher up? Or, do you think that it's okay to use the same one again? I do I tell if it's still collapsed?

dude you are just awful when it comes to these binges. like to ridiculous health problems. thats coming from another experienced IV user who has gotten bad off in years past. dont shoot crak anyway dude, i hope you are at least breaking it down using another agent such a lemon juice, i think you should TAKE A LONG HARD LOOK AND BREAK FROM IV USE if your veins are gettng all this kinda fucked up so quick dude.

    you can tell its collapsesd, smetimes by pain, discoloration like you said, oh and;

LOL at the second post. SERIOUSLY CHILL OUT!!

Also, I thought I remembered reading that the cocaine content by weight/price is higher than that of crack. Wouldn't it be more cost effective banging coke? Don't you have to add something acidic to crack to bang it as well? Seems harsher on your veins. Not that I recommend doing either!

I found banging coke to be one of the most disgusting highs I've ever had. I get grossed out just thinking about it. IME It's the most extreme euphoria and horniness followed by the most extreme depression and shame. I don't know how you do it.

I wish you the best of luck with your legal issues and staying clean. It helps to focus on one goal at a time and take it day by day.

Thank you so much all of you for your support. I realized that my addiction isn't just about the drug, It's about coping and dealing with something deeper. I am beginning my journey to find out what that is. N/A is helping, and I am also creating a Passages Malibu program for myself here in Dallas. My brain still wants that rush, whether its meth, heroin or whatever, but I am being strong. I have realized that I cannot touch anything including alcohol in order to stay clean, but I am willing to do anything to stay clean and be high on life.

It's great that you are self-aware enough to recognize your addiction and overcome it. I wish you the best in your journey.

I know personally I use to pass the seemingly endless time being indoors because of the harsh weather and not working. Could your desire for a "rush" be because of the lack of excitement and the mundane nature of life? Maybe you should try some thrilling sports that give you an adrenaline rush when you're not working. Just a thought.

I was gonna tell you "duh...rotate, rotate, rotate!!!!" BUT just saw this post...

CLAPS!!! Yay. G.l. It's really not hard if you focus on other interests.... make sure you keep busy and have other things to look forward to and stuff...and stay away from people who are doing the things you used to do. G/l! :)

You mention the rush that your brain still wants... what you NEED to do is replace that with something else. Find something else for your brain to latch onto... if you don't fill that space, nothing will work.

    thats good to hear man,
getting some sober friends is a must, an a new hobby.
it,s long and hard, and when you relapse, it,s not the end/all over of your soberity. start over new the next day and move on with your plan.

alcohol- is one of the worst for me. i get drunk, then i don,t care and i wanna keep going and do herion/meth/coke. if i don,t drink it,s alot easier to stay sober. but sober to me is suboxone/weed.

i have a friend in passages M. now, he,s doing better. he loves it there in cali.
    good luck to ya, man

Used to surf when I lived on the coast. I will take up skateboarding again once I'm back out on my own. I also scuba dive, so lots of cool exciting stuff happens I just have to learn to enjoy it again. I may look into more extreme stuff too though like skydiving or something.

My job is pretty cool too I work in film and tv production.

Cool... yea, as long as you focus on looking forward to when you can do those kinds of things and stuff then you have a great chance. It's when people sit around all bored thinking all the time that they don't...

I think your veins collapsed because you were banging the crack the wrong way. You said it didn't work anyways.

    HOw is it looking now?
