I have to disagree, even animals know how to groom themselves. Any animal with long or woolly hair is going to try to separate some of the knots so this doesn't happen all over their bodies. It can cause a lot of pain for animals with long hair.

Yes I have to agree that is all out neglect, not natural. But hey what's with all the hostility? Can't we all just get along, or avoid each other if that's not possible......

She is not the only person here who has posted experiences like her hubby's. Everyone's hair is different man, so chill out and please stop being so judgemental.

Hasn't this thread started repeating itself now? Wasn't there somewhere about half way through when we were questioning what can be defined as natural and didn't we have that skanky monodread guy earlier too? Was that this thread? *too lazy to check* :p

btw *no hostile tones in voice* ;) lol

no, that was different thread weeks ago. it was me posted that pic several weeks back to make a point about defining "natural".

Is it Groundhog Day in the dreadlock forum, or has this whole "natural vs unnatural" debate become the Undead Issue that's impossible to lay to rest? Why is this? We've all expressed an opinion on it. Can we not all agree to disagree?

It seems to me that this is immpossible to do because there are folks here that get off way too much on telling others how inferior more manipulated dreads are compared to there own "all natural" ones. And, lets be honest, if this sort of thing bigs up your ego, it's hardly going to be let go of easily. Quite the opposite in fact: there are some here seem to be actively and persistently perpetuating the notion of this mythical natural/unnatural divide so they can get some wierd sense of satisfaction by occupying some mythical higher ground.

its a shame and i'm getting tired of it.

Hello urbanhedgemonkey, would you like a job as my spokesperson? You always manage to elucidate the things in my brain which I can never muster up the energy to put into non-ranty sentences :)
