Just wondering if you had to point or name or list any one person, place, thing, or idea on planet earth that actually scares you or brings you fear? What would you say it would be?

For me, I’d say maybe like reptile creatures. Like snakes, spiders, lizards, those sorts of things. Those can make me run the other direction and feel very uncomfortable!!!

Also Heights can be very scary for me too. If flying on an airplane or if I was up inside a a helicopter, that would also make me a nervous wreck!!!!

What about you? If had to pick something you say you would “fear for your life” about? What would it be and why???

What is a phobia? Isn't it the same as fear? Or is it just a form or quality one tends to dislike?

Claustrophobia here. I don't like being in elevators, but I ride them. I don't go to events where thousands of people attend-IE: football games. Flying. I used to fly from the mainland to Hawaii and back , but I can't fly now. My imagination about what happens when a plane goes down terrifies me. Seems the older I get, the more certain things affect me. But the first one I've had my entire life.

Okay, I'll bite. Why, specifically, should everyone fear Joe Biden?

I have an irrational fear of snakes. It could be a friendly, non-aggressive snake that isn't poisonous. Doesn't matter. I turn into a quivering, crying mess each time.

    I don't know why. Like I said, it's irrational.

Joe Biden is a decent man, who has spent his entire working life in government service. I wish he would quit running now though---it's time for some younger blood to take over. Speaking of "blindly follow " ---why would anyone blindly follow an ungracious, crooked, dumb --ass, pussy grabbing sexual assaulter, insulting ,no good son of a bitch like Donald J. Trump? A grifter--a liar who for some reason--( maybe those of you who mentioned fearing Biden can explain your love of trump--if that in fact is the case) has such a huge cult admiring him?

Some years ago, we let a friend or our daughter sleep in our spare bedroom, because she did not want to travel home late after they had been watching a film and lost track of time.
At about 4am she rushed out of the bedroom screaming that someone had joined her in bed and started cuddling up to her.
Somewhat confused, Jane went to investigate and found our even more confused cat half asleep on her bed.

Spiders, to a lesser extent six leggers (roaches specifically). Curiously enough, I’ve been stung by a scorpion and I’m not more freaked out by them than other arachnids or bugs.

Heights. This wasn’t a thing for me until it was. I was early thirties, driving trucks, and going over a bridge in WV it hit me like a ton of bricks, all at once. All I could do was white knuckle the steering wheel and focus ahead. That’s a weird one for me.

Driving in snow. I’ve had multiple panic attacks. Didn’t grow up in it, was never taught. It didn’t bother me in an 18 wheeler because I’m close to invincible in there and only worried about getting stuck. In a car? Good grief. And folks zooming by at full speed doesn’t help.

Any rodent feces. I’m paranoid to the max that just being in the same room will give me hantavirus. Similarly, being in a space with mold gives me bad allergies, so as soon as I smell it, I’m out. I avoid basements, which I didn’t grow up with, for this reason, although I don’t have a specific phobia for basements.

Arachnids. I'm horrified of them and can't sleep if I've seen one in my room.

One of my more specifically odd ones is ice skating. I'm a klutz anyway, but I have this dumb fear that if I ever gave if a proper go I'd fall, and someone would accidentally skate over my fingers, severing them.

You have good reason for that fear.
Along with our theatres, our company owned one of of the oldest ice rinks in the UK.
I don't think that anyone ever lost any fingers, but over the years we saw several nasty injuries.
