The only thingI don't like about smoking, is that I have really bad allergies. The smoke (regardless of how smoked) irritaess my throat. It's a bad combo. Water usually fixes the problem tho.

I like to smoke and to be high, not stoned, but goofy high.

Being stoned just makes me lazy and hungry. I like being high, it's one of the few times you can get me to dance.

I have kind of a love/hate thing going on with the actual smoking of it. I don't really like smoking things, but I know that it'll be worth it later. Also, after you've smoked it for a while, you've calmed down and it eventually doesn't matter anymore anyway.

I enjoy smoking it and the effects like most here. I definetly think smoking a pipe is most fun. It feels elegant holding it in your hand and lighting it sucking and then clearing the chamber. Bongs are a little cumbersome for me. I just really enjoy the smoking experience and the effects are great too.

I fucking hate the hunger, heartbeat, and nervousness though. If not for that I would wanna be high 24/7. Sometimes I get scared over stupid stuff and I wanna lose weight so it's tough.

I don't think that anyone who's been high like I get could dislike weed.

The issue with weed is that it puts the ball in your court. If you have poor control over your thoughts, you can really get swept away into negativity and anxiety. If you have good control over your emotions and feelings, you can turn a high into a good trip any time.

What irks me is the people who decide to never smoke because of one bad experience. If you're having bad experiences, I think that you desperately need weed, more than others, to teach you how to control your mind.

Weed has helped me so much in this regard. I've learned much about the way my brain works and how I can turn on positive feelings and dispel negative ones on command. This was such a life changing lesson for me and it enabled me to go from a kid who was at the mercy of his feelings to a man who can control every facet of himself. No lie guys, weed has improved my life a hundred times over. I wouldn't be half the person I am now if I'd never discovered it.

Marijuana has given me a close look at the inner strength I possess and it's taught me that I can learn and do anything. It has made me more introspective and in tune with the internal as well as more observant of the external world around me. It has made me more appreciative of all of the wonders of the physical world: food, friends, music, and of course the sacred beauty of nature.

To put it in the most simple of terms, weed has made me a smarter, more sensitive, and ultimately more capable human being.

Now do you really believe that anyone would not want similar experiences? The problem I believe is in the intent. People get high and think "oh cool, everything is weird" and they leave it at that. They barely scratch the surface of what a stoned perspective can offer and squander their time high on just having a good time. Yeah it's fun to party, but it's even more exciting to explore and expand your own mind and become a stronger person who can create a happier existence for yourself.

Maybe it's simply an issue of maturity. Too many people start smoking young and get the wrong impression of what it can do for them. They get used to pot being a certain thing for them (a party drug) and never tap into the more profound, life changing experiences available to the smoker.

I don't want to piss anyone off with this post, but if you've smoked and hated it, you owe it to yourself to keep trying it until you figure it out. It's the best thing you can do for yourself, really.

My best advice is this: smoke alone, in comfort.

^ That is excelent advice. I went through all of what you just said.. My first experiences with weed were really bad. I had major anxiety, along with other things. I was 15 at the time. It really is somthing you have to do untill you figure it out and really just understand yourself and face whatever it is your scared of.. After that its all good.

^dude me too i almost shit myself one time but then i realized there's nothing to be afraid of because im with people i care about. and after you have smoked enough you know to "look" for certain things while high so every time can be a learning experience. and i love everything about being high except if i get a headache (usually from not sleeping enough) which can lead to feeling like throwing up but luckily i never have.

Personally I only get lazy if I smoke by myself. Once and awhile with friends I will but not too often. I'm always up for urban nature hikes :hyper:
