Granted it brings on a new aspect of responsibility but that can be learned and exercised. With the high percentage of people reporting having had extramarital relations it only makes sense that we learn to eliminate that requirement. But yeah, under current general conditions no one gets hurt unless the wrong person finds out. And we won't get past it until the media stops crucifying anyone caught having an affair.
