there is no way whatsoever that to get a box that isnt attached to your name without two forms of id. period. unless you dont want others who live in the same location as you to see you get your package, you are taking the exact same risk by mailing it to a box registered in your name.

if you are actually going to get "caught" its going to be when the package is crossing the border. so if it makes it to whereever it intends on going you are going to be fine (assuming of course we are talking about a small amount of chemical, not coke etc). mailing it to an abandoned house is also stupid, not only for the reasons already said, but also because it would be nice to know if your vendor sent your shipment or if it never arrived because NO ONE lives at the house.
for all who are college students out there, the dorm room switch shouldnt work cause i hope you go to a school that has some idea of security. anyplace that just hands packages that have been signed for to people without knowing who they are is just being completely irresponsible with other people's property.
the best option for those who are ordering small amounts of rc's from legit vendors is this:

    pay through WU
have shipped standard shipping in standard letter envelope
    have shipped to your house
    receive and research

uncomplicated, simple, and virtually risk free. if the package was seized you will get a letter, to which you wont respond because you dont recognize the name the seized letter was intended for. when you DO receive your letter, your completely fine at this point because it was just another of the thousands upon thousands of letters that enter this country on any given day.

i hope this has completely debunked the idea that boxes are a safe location to ship to. That is of course unless you have two forms of fake id. Then you are completely golden and a man to be reckoned with!

It's never a good idea to have anything shipped A: In your real name and B: to your home address. Receiving mail employing both these criteria is the best case scenario. It provides you with anonymity. If you felt you had no choice but to use your real name at least try to use an address other than your residence. If you thought you had no choice but to have it sent to your home at least use a totally different name. It will still get there. The last thing you want is the vendor knowing your name OR address regardless of how honest they are. Do you want to trust that your info won't be stored on his computer? What if he gets raided and LE find your address and name on his list of buyers?

Re: Phony ID documents...if you find a legitimate source for a quality nov doc such as a state issued, photo DL they could certainly also create a 2nd ID for you using the same personal info. The choices of what qualifies for the 2nd ID are fairly liberal and in many cases depending on where you live... do not require a specialist to reproduce or doctor up.

if you get a PO box you have to give your name and a home address to go along with it. to the PO box will link you to your own house anyway, so its one and the same.
this is better then trying to receive it anywhere else. if you know your source is legit, then use standard shipping with no signing required. if shipping goes through ups, fedex, etc it doesnt matter where it goes to, for you to get your hands on the package you will have to sign for it at some point. as soon as you signfor a package you are responsible for the contents. so if you are so paranoid that you think they will come to your house for a gram of random rc, then they would arrest you the second you signed for the package.

but i agree that if you have a completely straight place that you know will absolutly not get compromised go for it. but i dont understand why adding even more variables and shady maneuvers will make ordering go smoother.

i hope no one takes this confrontationally, but can anyone show me any documentation of anyone being convicted for receiving a small amount of an unsceduled rc? or even any case of possession of an unscheduled rc?

Most people getting PO or PM (private mail) boxes are using fake IDs so there is actually no tie to them at all.

That isn't totally correct about UPS and Fedex either, if you get a PMB and give them permission to sign for you, you never need to sign for packages the PMB people will for you.

They don't always arrest the second you sign, sometimes they wait for you to open it and then come back in like ten minutes.

Fake ID PMB can totally save your ass if a pack gets intercepted. Just never go back to the box and you will hear nothing more of it. Tracking usually says if you package is seized or not (or strongly clues you in to something strange going on).
