I personally think most white people don't have hair suited to dreads (I'm like 90% white btw). When you have to wax and tease and fuck up your hair just to have them, it doesn't end up looking right. It just looks like dirty fucked up straight hair. People with curlier or more textured hair though can get away with it because it looks more natural and less gross overall. That's just aesthetics though, I don't give a crap about the rest of it.

This is what the current state of college is like in America. Nothing but a bunch of libtard propaganda and social engineering. I wouldn't last five minutes around these people. I cannot stand liberals, especially these young idealistic ones who think they know what's going on in the world. But yeah, college is great. You spend an exorbitant amount of money, going in debt to be brainwashed with politically correct dogma. I mean, the state of education in this country is utterly fucking laughable. That's why every moron and halfwit goes to college these days, many on the taxpayer's dole. Many of the most profoundly ignorant and naive people I have talked to have been college educated, some having multiple degrees. It really amazes me how people confuse educated with intelligent.

There is nothing political about how someone chooses to wear their hair....and about how someone else attacked them for it...same ole same old bullying....that has been around for eons.

This seems like a normal interaction on a college campus nowadays. College liberalism fosters this kind of pointless hatred. This one happened to be caught on film. My town's community college is having white privilege history month, starting in 2 days.

i wondered the same thing that the entire thing was staged to get people talking, and if so, look, folks, it worked!

Seems too inane to be reality.

Well, since it's White PRIVILEGE History month, it's probably a creation of mostly non-whites (and guilty white libtards) who want people to believe that someone is somehow privileged just because they're white.

I agree, but I have seen some white people and Hawaiians pull off the dreadlocks quite nicely. I get what your saying about it looking like dirty knotted up straight hair though, because it really doesn't work for some people. Quark has decent dreads though.

I'm not sure, I just learned about it yesterday. I only go there once a week in the evening for a night class. If anything interesting happens this month I might post about it. They have a new building with transgender bathrooms though

Yes some white people can pull it off well, quark is a good example of that. Only good vibes has some pretty good ones too from what I can tell. I think it's just people who have naturally pin straight hair, which is a lot of white people really. It will just end up looking damaged and often really greasy.

I take it you two have a lot of experience at campus/college grounds with these kind of situations and that is what you are basing your opinions on?

Nagging on another person's hairstyle because it might be inspired by 'your' culture...: pointless, I agree.

White privilege history month: At first a great idea (I guess it would depend on the details if it is as good as it sounds ;))

White privilege is the idea that white people are privileged simply because they're white. Which is a fucking joke if you've ever known a poor white person.

Indeed I have spent a lot of time in college. All my siblings went to college too.

White privilege history month a good idea? Please explain how divisionism via victim baiting and guilt mongering is a good idea.

While mine are only a year old, my hair is naturally curly. I believe quark has had his for over five years and they look beautiful, i can't wait for mine to mature like that. Mine have tons of maturing to do so i don't really expect them to look anywhere close to as neat as his.. I appreciate the positive compliment though! I have some better picture of my dreads in my gallery.

Well the idea behind it is poor white people face less discrimination than poor black people, which is generally true from my observations. Doesnt mean poor white people dont face obstacles, their obstacles are just slightly different.

Anywho, back to dreadlocks. I agree with matte, in general i dont think the texture of caucasion hair is conducive to dreadlocks.

But i think that video was staged - looks like it was purposely created to see how people react. We're now a part of their social experiment yall

I have some Rastafarian friends, and they comment negatively when they see a black person with neat short hair in a business suit. So it cuts both ways. (not haircuts of course).

Haha now that you are mentioning it, indeed! They make plenty of songs about it too (or at least they did in the 70's/80's)
