Depending on the state you live in the acacia trees your looking for are fairly common & are found in plenty of national parks bush land and so on. With a little bit of detective work you could find what you are looking for. Your next problem is going to be where to obtain Naptha, Lye & other chemicals needed for the extraction. Id be careful ordering root bark from overseas as customs is not really a big fan of foreign plant material entering our country... I highly doubt the police would turn up at your door step for it but you may get a love letter from customs & your name added to some sort of watch list.... I'd highly recommend sourcing the plant material from native plants rather than via the internet, if your on the east coast of Australia this might be your best bet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acacia_maidenii you can find a bit of info about extraction TEK's on erowid heres one for the acacia that i recommend you have a read of http://www.erowid.org/plants/acacia/acacia_extract1.shtml DMT isnt too difficult to obtain if you know the right people, you can always try going to some sort of hippy/psytance type event and getting to know people there
It is very possible to extract DMT from phalaris grass and it is widespread all across fertile Australia. Even if some grows near you, don't extract from it. Just don't, it probably won't work for you. Instead, sow your own seeds and reap the benefits. You need to be able to stress and monitor the plant itself to get the right dose. You can easily buy phalaris grass seeds or plant your own from the phalaris grass specimen you found. Here's some interesting information on it here: http://dmt.tribe.net/thread/9df2bf53-c05a-44fa-8bad-5a9546e14fbf The extraction from the phalaris grass isn't that hard, but use all extreme caution and have the right supplies! People underestimate the danger of chemicals. Also, someone else mentioned the gramine levels in Phalaris; the chemical that kills sheep and dogs. Well, whilst it's true that it exists within the extraction, I highly doubt there is enough there to produce harmful effects. The biology of a sheep and a human are very different, so different that you may as well not compare. Do take note that some phalaris grasses have 5-meo and nn-DMT alkaloids. So don't go into a trip expecting exactly what you've heard from trip reports. Honestly, your best bet is Acacia Maidenii, however I personally found it to be an elusive plant where I live. If you can find the specimen or other subspecies then kudos to you! I would advise against chipping away at the bark, mainly because I'm a nature lover, but you probably will anyway. Good luck on your journeys! Remember, be patient and diligent!
