ABUJA, Nigeria — One of the summer's biggest blockbusters — a sci-fi morality tale about aliens and apartheid — is not welcome in Nigeria because of its portrayal of Nigerians as gangsters and cannibals Information Minister Dora Akunyili has asked movie houses in the capital of Abuja to stop screening "District 9" because the South Africa-based sci-fi movie about aliens and discrimination makes Nigerians look bad Hotwater
I was surprised by this movie, it wasn't advertised that much and I only watched it because my sister said I should, I have to say I loved it all the way through and it had an excellent plot
I loved it. I can understand why some people don't, but i thought it was amazing. Way better than any Halo movie would be.
It was okay but way too much hype on it and was not worth the $10 I spent to see this in the theaters I was highly disapointed. I thought it was weird how it went from documtry style to action. It was halirous how the aliens were growing pot though... Ganster ass Prawns!
Hmmppph, .. I have this movie, but am wondering now if it was one I bought and never got around to watching since it is not ringing any bells for me. Unless I was off my face or something lol. Oh well, I know what I shall being watching in bed tonight then.
The movie really, strongly, mirrored real life... There was more to it than just entertainment value...
Almost too much The nigerian government is still pissed because the movie depicts them all as gangsters, prostitutes, and witch-doctors who like to eat alien flesh Knock, knock, it’s a MOVIE Hotwater
