once one stops looking for the truth and realizes it's right in front of their eyes, the fluff all of a sudden makes sense...
Actually I read all posts I see and usually prefer reading the older peoples posts than some of the younger people. In other words, I'd prefer reading a 42 year old's post over a 16 year olds. They're usually more thought out and show a more intelligent structure. I can relate to Jane in a way, only I wasn't as heartbroken that this wasn't what I had expected. Like you said, she should lower her expectations just a little bit.
Yeah well I get the sense that she didn't appreciate what I posted as she didn't respond or acknowledge it but this is something I've come to expect at this site. I try hard not to sound preachy with my POVs- perhaps I should use more of a verbal sledgehammer to get peoples' attention-- do things like characterize posting habits as mindless jibber jabber & insinuate a degree of vapidity with the membership but I don't wanna come across as a prick... then again many folks aren't so concerned with how they come across. Perhaps I can post a nice self-pic glaring and flipping the bird to impart a suggestion of abrasiveness.
LOL, well said... that's what sucks about internet forums. No-one is obligated to respond, acknowledge or be grateful to those who are trying to help or offer support and understanding.
