i do not have to prove nor disprove anything because nothing is under any obligation to exist, not exist, or bear the slightest resemblence to anything anyone (or any several) think they know about it. this is a very good thing, because 'proof' of anything, in the way that word is usually thrown arround, is pretty much mythologica. cleche's don't have to exist at all. i'm not an athiest, i'm an agnostic, because i don't believe anything has to NOT exist either. just that whatever does, is under no obligation to resemble what ANY one thinks about it. i see no "proof" that ANY thing HAS to exist, only evidence that many things do. some of which may or may not resemble in some way what some insist upon think of as super, meta, para, ... what do i know? only that i experience what i experience, whatever its actual cause, and that however much i ever do, there will always be more to that i have yet to but really whatever wants to exist or not exist, what is to be gained by arguing against its option of doing either? we have a world we all have to live in right here, and it is as capable of being a wonderful place as any other, if we would simply let it. and if what we don't see wants to be friends with us, why not let that too, WITHOUT trying to impose our own presumptions about it onto whatever it might actually happen to be? =^^= .../\...
... ... ... ... Ok, I agree with Strawpup, and that god knows "the beginings, ends, and middles of all our little paths through the universe." We are ONE with the being that fits that description. Now ... here is the tricky part. TIME. It's a very fluid concept. Has anybody ever really payed attention to TIME. How it works??? LOL. Here is the crazy thing with time. In our world that is Super Well structured and defined and measurable... in other words the 3-D world we live in me see, we often also use time to measure occurences and physics and what not... But stop right there. Should we really Rely on time as a CONSTANT like what we can see? Allow me to explain my point... If you are an individual who hates there mother in law. Is it not true that a one hour period sometimes sometimes is like an eternity, but this same individual while doing something "fun" goes by in an instant? See time is subject to human "Perception" in a different fashion then what is seen. Even though it is acuurately measurable scientifically and we know it passes no matter what, your CONCIOUSNESS is fluid in it. Ok so if you are one with an omnipotenet God in a universe where time is fluid. that means at any given second BOTH wills can change. Thus, my theory: Yeal says: option 3. God knows us, and knows what choices we will make. Close... very close. He doesnt know what choices we will make because that is ultimatly our decision: "FREE WILL". HOWEVER, he does know whut we truly wish to do, at any given momment, and here is where I think it operates something like this... call me crazy but this is the only way i stopped scratching my head on this one... At any given momment, God is writing one line on the page of what you should be doing that would make you TRULY happy (cause hes known exatly what that is for all of eternity), and in the double space blank line you have a pencil too, and you are living your life paralell to his line. When you are doing what he knows is best for you you feel awesome, when you are barking up the wrong tree deepression, anxiety, hate, anger ... etc etc will result this should be the trigger for one to try to return to the "merging point" of the two lines. So make no mistake about it. You have your own will and make your own decision at any given momment, but you will only truly be happy if you open up to God's will, and if we are all "ONE" body with God, nods, that obviously means opening up to everyone around you. In other words, let's all try to get along. Hey but that's just the way I see it. P.S. Yes I also believe that the consciousness is a fluid entity in the space time continuum too... In other words, the whole life experience is Holographic. And Not as REAL as we think. It explains how transedental and transcontinental meditation is possible... Where I am currently coming to a grinding hault is ... ... May it be possible that our Soul is that very Consciousness? Cause that would explain one wicked pile of questions to me... but this is what I have been analyzing on my cusion l8ly. Any takers?
I have another solution. The alleged conflict between an omnipotent God and free will is similar to the dilemma "Could God make a rock he could't lift?" The concept of omnipotence can be defined as doing things that are not logically contradictory. If an omnipotent or omniscient being bestows free will on somebody, it doesn't make Him any less omnipotent or omniscient if the recipient of the gift misuses it. Of course there's another possibility: God is very powerful and smart but not omnipotent or omniscient.
... You know this is a very very good point... I am Christian, and you know Jesus is said to be GOD MADE MAN... Jesus did alot of really kool stuff but he did not PHYSICALLY time travel... He could see his future in his mind... but he could not physically go there ... he just knew it was coming... so even though God obviously may have the power to forsee all at any given second... Just how much can he intervene? Whew, thanks for the insight. I like it. I like it alot. I'll bringing that one to "the cushion".
