And that's perfectly fine, you seem to get a lot joy from the purely aesthetic side of it. There's an entirely other side of art though. Thoughts, ideas, and communication. It's the reason why people like to know the lyrics to a song as well as listen to the music.

Just as "good" is often entirely relative so is "good art". You ever seen a picture that a small child drew and not been able to make out what it is. As in even remotely being able to conclude any kind of existing object. Then you ask the kid what it is and they know exactly what it is. Art and life for that matter can kind of be summed up in that little scenario. Nearly everything is based off perspective and opinion.

Why overanalyze it? I believe everything is art; and therefore it is. ;]

Though, the thing that makes art good in my opinion, is when it is reflective of the artist's soul...when the artist dosn't think before they put the pencil to the paper, it's just natural and without bounds, people tend to over think art and end up with somthing generic

What do you mean by "eveything is art?" Like everything everything? Rocks and trees and birds are art? Please explain.

Here's a few of my views on it.
Stupid tagging, such as squiggly lines, initials, crap like that, NOT art. Its tagging, leaving a mark to be obnoxious.
graffitti done for the sake of art, done with detail and effort, ART.
If the artist really makes it to be art, i suppose it is art.

Yeah I think that for it to be art both the artist and the audience have to agree that it's art. There either has to be a message conveyed or the ability to create your own message has to have been enabled by an artist who knew that they were doing just that. Otherwise there's no artistic meaning.
