Yeah, goodness knows I don't want to be cleaning up vomit. I do that enough when my kids get the yearly dose of the stomach flu. ;)

make sure you shake it up first. you'll get greater carbonation penetration. i suppose it would be pretty cleansing, but very noisy.

it is sold by the tank car load to food proccessing industries. that's the cash cow of a company called ADM. some of the pancake syrups probably come as close as you're going to find in end user quantities. restaurant trade suppliers might be able to get ahold of it and sell it in smaller quantities then say a 55 gallon drum. you know, i'd almost bet adm has somebody you could ask. i have no idea if or how they'd answer though.

you could try googling corn syrup, as opposed to gurggling it.

that red stuff that come in those little portion control packets to put on indian and chineese food is pretty much pure corn syrup with red food coloring too.

dam near everything to eat that's any kind of a prepared food that you buy in the store has some of that in it, because it's more economical in the quantities they consume then actual sugar would be.

look on the list of ingreedients some time of anything.

ah, i'm guessing somebody did, and found it in 'diet' soft drinks.

when i was working for the railroad several decades ago, i rememeber a derailment where several tank cars of this stuff rolled over and one was leaking all over the damd place. everybody didn't know what it was at first, but it was friggin corn syrup.

    =^^=

You can get corn syrup in the grocery store. With the tainted dog food. I like it when you kids 'attack' me. Because you know you're wrong? Yes, I think so. And by the way, I'm not forcing anyone. What the fuck, am I at your house shoving it down your throat? No. You're just one big smart ass. But that's okay. There is many more here.

As themnax pointed out, many pancake syrups are pretty much just corn syrup. We all pick our poisons- some drink alcohol... some smoke pot and others eat junk food. The thread as I read it from the original post was an observation that some folks seem excessively concerned about some dietary issues over traditional carcinogens like those found in cigarettes. The thread seemed more observational than complaining about what
Here is where the debate turned from observation to more of an attack mode. We are free to respect or disrespect our bodies as we see fit and I saw didn't read any physical complaints into the original post. Preaching to people about how to treat their bodies and telling what they can and can't post on a public board can be easily construed as rude. There is a fine line between adding to a debate and forcing one's opinion as gospel and I feel this line may have been crossed.

Offering one's dissenting opinion for the purpose of debate is constructive while enforcing the notion that one is the only right point of view is not.

You are forcing your opinions down our throat and I'm requesting that you cease this form of attack posting. There are many opinions which deserve the same respect that yours are entitled to.

The stuff about aspartame is mostly bullshit. It's found in our natural diet. I used to be quite addicted to Diet Coke, but I've gotten away from it. Not so much because of the aspartame (especially because now they make it with splenda, most likely a much healthier alternative), more because of the acidity, the caffeine, and the cost. I was drinking a six pack a day, just not worth it. Now I reach for water :)

Ask me to stop? Never! I'm not forcing anyone. Unless you are so stupid to do what someone says over the internet. That's just dumb. I can say what I want. Get over yourself.

Well yes, but have others not been hostile towards me? So I don't really give a rat's ass. I may have started it, but it doesn't matter to me. You are on the internet. Get used to it. When people are going to be obnoxious and ignorant, I'm going to get angry.
