yea i used to think that drugs were horrible then dare in the 7th grade made me wanna try weed because it sounded fun then in 8th grade i finally did YAY

I think it's because you are just a generally more aware kid then, and once you get into high school it seems like older kids inform you and you pick up a bit here and a bit there...and because you've been told 1 way your whole life, you say, "What the fuck?" and then you check it out (such as Erowid) and figure out the whole picture

 

How am I a moron? I passed my high school science classes, I'm very aware of oxygen being flammable. To say that "a majority of people who need med marijuana are so near death that they're all on oxygen" is a moronic assumption. But apparently I'm a dumb ass, so why dont we just make a little valve on the oxygen mask so you can just open it up and stick a joint in there without ever having to take the O2 off.

So are you trying to tell me that pot cannot be effective when introduced to your digestive tract instead of your lungs? Funny, it seems pot brownies, pot rice krispees, pot butter, and just about any other food you can think of can be made to get you stoned. I dont see any reason why you wouldn't be able to make a marijuana feeding tube concoction. Not that I remember feeding tubes even being a part of this, anywhere...

All I saw is the usual propaganda bullshit and some creative new bullshit, such as saying that all terminally ill patiencts who want to smoke pot are on oxygen and endager their lives and a whole ward of a hospital by their greedy desire to get stoned. Oh yeah, almost all the people I knew in high school that were against smoking went to college and either smoke now or dont care that other people smoke. A lot of times people just need to see it for themselves that pot isn't the square root of all evil, which is what brainwashing like DARE and TheAntiDrug.com would have them belive.

 

same with me. I took DARE in 5th grade and believed everything. At 12-13, I found out my cousins smoked, then they smoked me up alot.

i thought it was cool when i was in 5th grade during DARE, infact thats when i first tried it haha. the only time i was against it was in 7th grade when my sister was getting in trouble... but then 8th grade i realized if i smoked pot, i wouldnt end up like her so i could so i did haha and now i still am.

 

Yes I agree it IS stupid... but it does serve a good point. For one... I think that kids should be learning about drugs at a reasonable age such as 5th or 6th grade, but not be forced into false propoganda and completly pushed into a hard position. They should be giving the facts about the drugs and their use, at least neutral and bad side effects.

Overall... do I think DARE is a fucking retarded program? YES, but should there be an informative program like it? YES...
