I got mine, thank you Donald Trump....you had my vote last time and you will have it again in 2020. '
Lol. Wtf did trump have to do with it? If you voted for him, you’re a moron. If you vote for him again, you’re a racist, piece of shit.
Dude goes off on the government about stimulus checks : nextfuckinglevel Thankful this guy stays in his car This motherfucker be spitting
Treasury: Relief checks sent to dead people should be returned now they tell us... I posted twice that those recipients could keep it. It's kind of too late to offer guidance after the checks are sent.
As for me I am still hearing crickets... waiting patiently for my Economic Impact Check. Yesterday, however, I received a check written to my Dad who died March 1, 2018. The check was written to: (my Dad's name) DECD (which stands for deceased!) Under his name is my name followed by PER REP (his personal representative) since I was the one in the family who was responsible for closing out Dad's legal, tax and financial business. Who on earth would send a check to someone they already knew was dead? On the outside of the envelope is a box to check if the recipient is deceased. It is addressed to a deceased person! You are directed to put it back into the mail to return to them. I swear that the government must hire people based on their ability to be incompetent.
Democrats in the senate are thinking about something like $2,000 per month for all citizens until coronavirus subsides/vaccine is available or until who knows when. It would be retroactive to the month of March. I don't see this passing. In fact, I think that the Senate will revolt and move toward the president's idea to reopen earlier than recommended instead. I'm suspicious but perhaps unfairly. Here is a report. It doesn't discuss a rebuttal, but I don't think it will happen. It's like @6-eyed shaman was saying about social programs. I'm paraphrasing, but these things start of small and snowball. The republican-led Senate will find it hard to ignore that Democrats in both chambers likely see this as an opportunity to advance ideologically toward more programs. I think it's a fine idea though. Here is an article: Democratic senators propose $2,000 monthly payments to most Americans
Since I am not one to pay taxes... My grandmother has been claiming me on her tax returns for years... It has never been an issue... until now... I'm am precluded from receiving my check that I would otherwise be entirely eligible for... "hey, grandma, remember that $1200 check I.... oh wait... hey, could I have a few bucks" is how that conversation will proceed
A $2,000 Monthly Stimulus Check Could Cost A Staggering $10 Trillion Doesn't sound very affordable and sticker shock would likely scare off even the most liberal of Congressman/women. Well... maybe not the most liberal. But with a price like that, you can bet the budget would need restructuring. To be honest, I'm hoping for a catalyst for change. I don't see any other way to survive besides reopening very soon; which I think is a mistake. Another round of stimulus, please...
Did you submit your direct deposit info? They have a "Get My Payment" tool. It asks for your social security number, adjusted gross income, and your routing number & account. Then after that the same button/link tells you when you can expect a deposit. It's slow, and if you check it too frequently it locks you out for 24 hours, but it's what we have... Get My Payment | Internal Revenue Service
I would rather not mess with their incompetence. At this point they should already have something in the works or they sent it to someone else...
Just got me check yesterday. The Donald's name right on the fuckr. Looked like junk mail at first. Almost threw it out
