A very sad day. I remember shaking his hand on St Thomas when he visited in the 198os, I photographed him for the local newspaper meeting the Governor... he was very kind and cool, a short man with power.
It is a great loss. One of my favorite books is "The Book of Joy", conversations with Bishop Tutu and the Dalai Lama. I think I will reread it as I begin the new year.
